Treat yourselves to a relaxing stay at this inviting cottage in the delightful former Cornish fishing village of Mousehole. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom holiday home is situated close to the harbour, within reach of the village’s shops, galleries and eateries. It is also well located for afternoons out on sandy beaches and long walks along the rugged coastline. With a courtyard for outside dining and a wood burner for cosy nights in, this is also the perfect place to relax during your downtime.
Head into the cottage to find beautifully renovated accommodation with an airy, modern feel throughout. The ground-floor here has an open-plan layout, enabling you to spread out to unwind, cook and dine together all in one seamlessly flowing space. Light the wood burner in the lounge area then settle down to watch TV or listen to music. Whip up tasty dishes with fresh, local ingredients in the kitchen area then call everyone over to the table. When eyelids begin to droop, climb the stairs to the first floor, where there is a double bedroom and a twin. There is also a family bathroom up here. Spend summer mornings having breakfast or coffee out in your private courtyard. Cook supper on the BBQ out here too on summer evenings. There is parking here for one car.
Amble less than 100 metres down to the sea and the harbour, where there is a small, family-friendly sandy beach. Have a day out to pretty Lamorna Cove Beach, 3 miles away. Keen walks can follow the South West Coast for 1.5 miles to reach the cove. Drive 8 miles to the beach at Marazion. From here you can cross the causeway to St Michael’s Mount when the tide is out. Visit the Newlyn Art Gallery, 2 miles from the cottage.
