This light and airy cottage is the perfect destination for couples or a family eager to explore the delights of Porthleven and further afield. The cottage has been beautifully renovated and enchant you by its wonderful original features such as exposed stone brickwork and original flooring, complemented with clean white walls and modern equipment, skilfully blend the old with the new. 

Enter the downstairs living area and sink into the comfortable sofas to watch TV whilst basking in the warmth of the wood burner. The spacious, fully integrated and well-equipped kitchen is also located on this floor and has a convenient access hatch through to the parquet floored dining room. 

On the first floor is a superb super-king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom with exposed wooden flooring. The family bathroom boasts a drench shower and a free-standing bath, providing a relaxing space for rejuvenation. There is also a second toilet and washbasin for added convenience. 

Ascend the staircase to the third floor to find a stunning attic room flooded with natural light. With its gable walls and wooden ceiling beams, this living area offers a serene retreat in which to just unwind or watch a film on the 65” UHD Smart TV with an immersive soundbar. Make use of the spotting scope to admire the breathtaking views of storms, admire the gorgeous sunsets you see from this elevated vantage point across the whole of Mounts Bay and if you are lucky you may spot dolphins and whales during the winter months. 

Outside, provides a patio space enclosed by a high wall and furnished with a hardwood table and chairs, it’s the ideal spot to enjoy your morning coffee in the fresh sea air. The cottage also benefits from the luxury of a private parking space that is adjacent to the property.

Suffolk Cottage is perfect for walkers and dog owners alike, just moments from the South West Coast Path, including the picturesque all-weather walk through the woodland at the Penrose Estate or longer coastal walks where you can soak in breathtaking views of crashing waves and rugged cliffs. Alternatively you can start your day by exploring the picturesque village, where you can watch the world class surfers or witness local fishermen bringing in their catch, enjoy a leisurely stroll along the harbour or discover the long sandy beach and vibrant food scene with an abundance of restaurants and cafes serving delicious seafood and local delicacies. Outdoor enthusiasts can also tour with the fishing boats or try other water sports including kayaking, coasteering and paddleboarding.

Outside of Porthleven you can visit nearby attractions, such as the enchanting St Michael’s Mount (9 miles), reachable via a causeway at low tide, or Flambards Theme Park (3.5 miles), where thrilling rides and a life-size Victorian Village await. Further afield you can explore modern art at Tate St Ives (17 miles), and the sub-tropical paradise of Trebah gardens (13.5 miles) which also offer fantastic days out.

Fabulous accommodation, with everything that you need for a comfortable self catering holiday. The lounge / look out point on the top floor of the property was particularly special and a great place to relax with a wonderful view.

We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful cottage. The location was absolutely perfect ideal for exploring the area and enjoying the surroundings. The cottage itself had everything you could possibly need, making it feel like a real home from home. The welcome pack was a really thoughtful touch and much appreciated after our journey. This is a superb property. Brilliantly located, really cosy and well equipped. The parking space is a real bonus. 1 minute from the Atlantic Inn (!), 2 minutes from the beach and just a couple of minutes more to other pubs, restaurants and shops. This is a superb property. Recommended.

First time at Suffolk cottage and it was delightful. Situated ideally for beach and harbour with the bonus of your own parking space. Loved the art work and decor. Very comfortable and relaxing just a lovely space. Third floor snug was great to sit in and listen to the crashing waves. What a vista to look at first thing in the morning too. I would Read moreonly say that if you have mobility problems there are 2 staircases and the odd stair up and down between bathroom and bedrooms. However the stairs between bedroom and third floor have been done very well and found manageable with support either side. Would definitely book again. Hide

The cottage was very clean and better equipped than others I have stayed in ( including dog bowls and a crate which many dog friendly places dont have.) The view from the top lounge is lovely and the rooms are spacious. I would recommend it.

A lovely cottage with sea views and close to Porthleven Harbour. The cottage was immaculately clean and very comfortable with a great loft space with sea views. The added benefit of a parking space too.

The location is great, walkable to the harbour, shops, pubs and restaurants and beach and the coast path. (Highly recommend Kota Kai for lunch -you can take your dogs- we loved it so much we went twice). In-fact you could very happily spend a couple of weeks here and not need to go anywhere else. The cottage is fully equipped with everything youRead more should need and you can tell it has been carefully thought through. Little touches like spare dog bowl, lead and towel should you forget yours and amazing eco welcome pack with essentials for the kitchen for the first few days of your stay. Christmas week with our 19 month old. Wonderful break in a fantastic cottage. For a winter break this cottage was just ideal for us. We made great use of the wood burning stove. The kitchen was well stocked, with a good range of invent. We were very happy with the level of cleaning and maintenance of the cottage.

This is the second time we have spent a lovely week at Suffolk Cottage, loved it the first time so came back for more. Porthleven is our favourite part of Cornwall, never fails to deliver whatever the weather. The loft at Suffolk Cottage is a superb space, just watching the weather roll in and out. Love it.
