Enjoy a couple’s trip to this decadent property on the Cornish coast. Situated in the charming fishing town of Porthleven, you’ll have access to some truly wonderful places whilst staying in style with your partner, two friends and, if you choose, two canine companions.

This holiday home is set over three levels. On the ground floor you’ll see a well-equipped kitchen, so prepare a delicious drink from the coffee machine and then enjoy it in the lounge/diner. To increase the cosy feeling, light a fire in the wood burner and curl up on the comfortable sofa. Head to the first floor to see the two double bedrooms, each simply decorated and perfectly restful. There’s also a bathroom with a wonderfully deep bath for long, relaxing soaks, or try the walk-in shower. Continue to the loft to find a snug overlooking the bay, complete with two floor-to-ceiling windows, an artificial fire, blankets for cuddling and books to amuse. Head outside for the enclosed courtyard with a BBQ, seating area and table for summer evenings.

Porthleven has retained its traditional fishing trade, so make your way into town (about 0.5 miles) to taste the fresh catch. You can tour with the fishing boats, or try other water sports including kayaking, coasteering and paddleboarding. If you’re a fan of aquatic wildlife, schedule a trip to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary (8 miles) for sea lions, penguins, otters and seals, or spot them roaming in the National Trust Godrevy (14.5 miles). Godrevy is also a prime place for surfing and walking, where you may find remnants of a stone age settlement. End your trip with a day in Penwith Heritage Coast, which has castle ruins, wild ponies and… film crews? This beautiful place was the setting for Poldark!

The amazing and stunning view from the loft room is a wowwee moment. The huge master bed is glorious to sleep in and to fall asleep to the soothing and comforting sounds of waves lapping on the shore is incredible. Kitchen has a good supply of equipment. Proximity to the sea is wonderful Parking was an issue. From a personal point of view the Read morevery steep steps into the property and steep stairs inside was a challenge daily. Hide

We really enjoyed our stay in Porthleven, good range of shops and eating places. no problem parking at this time of year, i do feel though that the property needs a good facelift it seems slightly neglected in the maintenance department. Unhappy that had to supply our own logs at this price level - they should be included as states on the websites.
