Just 100 metres from Mousehole harbour, this traditional two-bedroomed cottage offers lovely sea views and has a pretty garden where you can unwind away from the crowds. Private parking is an additional bonus!
The harbour is at the heart of Mousehole life, so the location of this granite-built holiday home is perfect: the waterfront is just moments away. Step inside and you’ll find a bathed-in-light living room where a striking period fireplace with wood burner provides the focal point for a comfortable lounge area. Behind the large leather sofa, the dining suite is a convenient setting for mealtimes and chats while chef duties are shared in the adjacent kitchen. A utility room with WC completes the line-up of home-from-home comforts on the ground floor, while upstairs there’s a light, bright family bathroom and two bedrooms – one with twin beds and the other with a double and sea views. The living space here extends into a pretty cottage garden where there’s a lawn, outdoor seating and a BBQ along with glimpses of the sea. The local car parks fill up quickly, so the private parking space here is highly-prized! If you’d like to holiday as part of a bigger group, the neighbouring property can be booked to accommodate an additional four guests, please enquire.
3 miles west of Penzance, pretty-as-a-picture Mousehole has a rich history. This once-bustling port retains much traditional charm, its labyrinth of narrow streets filled with small shops, galleries, cafes and local granite-built cottages. Two sturdy breakwaters protect the village from the force of the sea, and a small beach in a sheltered part of the harbour is popular for safe bathing. Enjoy the slow pace of life here or follow the coast road 2 miles to Newlyn, the South West’s largest fishing port where you can watch trawlers land their latest catch, or learn about the School of Art which was established in the late 19th century.
