Troutstream is a beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting with a bubbling stream and picturesque garden to enjoy . It is equipped with everything you need for a home from home stay . Rob is a lovely host on hand if needed but not intrusive. Would highly recommend and have already booked a return visit !

We found the cottage exactly as advertised. Extremely clean, well equipped and the position was ideal for exploring the North and South coast. Surroundings were secluded and peaceful.

Super welcome from the owner Robin. He gave a guided tour of the property before leaving us to enjoy the cream tea provided. Delightful traditional, old cottage in an idyllic setting. Very comfortable lounge with a good sized TV and well equipped kitchen and dining area. Both bedrooms are a good size with plenty of storage. Comfortable beds, linen Read moreand towels provided. Good sized garden to the front of the property with a small stream running along the boundary. Lovely to hear the sound of running water. Within a few minutes walk of the Camel Trail, great for early morning runs or cycle rides. Hide

Lovely place & lovely garden with a stream running through it. Be careful which way you get to the property though, as the roads from the A30 side make our garden path look like the M25. So use the road to the North, which was worth the extra few miles. The only negatives were checking out at 9AM, which I've never heard of before anywhere in the Read moreworld & was unpleasantly early, particularly with their late check-in time of 4PM. Also the old man who lives next door was quite rude to us when we arrived, telling us we were supposed to phone before we arrived, which we had done, but their phone was turned off. So we'd already sent a text. Also going on about how we should keep the gate shut & other things we shouldn't do. Not very customer friendly & not a great start. But that was the only minor irritation & we otherwise had a very pleasant week there. Hide

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Troutstream, The cottage was well equipped, very clean, the decor was to a high standard. The location was perfect for visiting the pretty coastal villages ( Port Isaac , Boscastle etc) also fantastic views on coastal path walks.. The only criticism was the 9am departure time we felt this is not enough time to paRead moreck, clear up and have breakfast , 10am is the norm in other cottages we have stayed in. Robin was very accommodating. Hide

A lovely, quiet - apart from lovely birdsong from across the stream - cottage. Directions for arrival good. But, eg on returning from an evening meal, not easy to find, among the network of narrow lanes. For sat nav, would recommend using 'Wenfordbridge', definitely NOT the post code, which covers a large area.

Troutstream is well situated to explore both the north and south coasts. So much to see and do. We enjoyed visits to at least 7 National Trust properties all within an hour : beautiful coastal walks and beaches within15 minutes. The property is very well appointed and the owner a mine of information.

The cottage was beautifully presented and equipped. The owner was very welcoming and very helpful with lots of information on the local area. The location was idyllic but just a short drive to many wonderful places to visit. This was our 2nd visit and we plan to return again very soon.
