Luxuriate in the comfort of this chic holiday home at Mawgan Porth that makes a great retreat for groups. Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom, contemporary abode is perfect for a large family stay, two families together or a group of friends. With stunning coastal and country views, it has a gorgeous garden for outdoor relaxation and a wood burner to toast beside as you play games on autumn and winter nights.

Wander inside to discover the exceptional space provided by the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/conservatory. Light the wood burner then settle down in front of the Smart TV or pull the doors on to the garden open so everyone can stroll out into the summer sunshine. Prepare hearty, homecooked feasts then dine in style in the conservatory as you gaze out over the garden. A family shower room and a utility room are also downstairs, together with a super-king-size bedroom that can be arranged as a twin if discussed in advance. Another super-king-size bedroom, also with zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as singles, is on the floor above. A twin bedroom and a double, with an en-site bathroom, are also at this level, along with a family shower room. Bask in the sunshine on the deck as you take in the views; play table tennis out in the tiered garden and cook supper out on the BBQ. There is parking here for three cars.

Pack your beachwear and stroll 350 metres down to the beach at Mawgan Porth. Newquay, 5 miles away, also has a good selection of beaches to choose from, particularly for those who enjoy surfing. Pick up the South West Coast Path at Mawgan Porth and walk 2 miles to the Bedruthan Steps, where legend has it that the rocks were used by a giant as stepping stones. For the Padel enthusiasts, why not visit Cornwall's largest padel club located at SeaSpace less than 10 minutes away in Porth.

We love this house and have stayed here several times. The location is wonderful, just a short walk to the beach and amenities. House has everything you could need for an enjoyable family stay. Whist in need of a few repairs such as dog proofing the garden, the house remains a firm favourite.

Great location just up the hill from Mawgan porth beach. Easy walking access via either the road or coastal path - although those with limited mobility would struggle the plus side is the beach front car park is only 5 a day. Of an evening and the front veranda caught the evening sun. Quiet of an evening and beds all very comfortable - black out Read moreblinds ensured a good night sleep. Kitchen well equipped, with modern appliances. Only small downside was that, it was only a small freezer box in the fridge not a proper freezer. As a family of 8 who had brought some of our meals pre made frozen plus ordering some tubs of ice cream from our supermarket delivery we found ourselves quickly out of space! Other than that cant really fault it. Hide

Lovely house in a good location. The beach & shops/pub are just a 10 minute walk away, although it's quite a steep walk back up to the house. The elevated position means you have a great view down to the sea. The open plan kitchen/lounge and conservatory are spacious and a great social area for the whole family to spread out. The three double bedrRead moreooms are a nice size, the fourth with two singles was a bit too tight for our two grown up 'kids', but would be ideal for younger children. Overall, a really nice house in a lovely village with a fabulous, dog-friendly beach. Hide

Our stay at Pen Y Mor did not disappoint. The location is fabulous - Mawgan Porth beach is about a 5-10 min walk away and is very dog friendly. Local walks along the South West Coastal path are thoroughly recommended and Newquay and Padstow are both a short drive away. The property itself is very comfortable - plenty of space both to sit outside Read morein the sun, or feel snug in the rain. The kitchen is well equipped and the welcome pack meant we were able to have tea & coffee while waiting for our grocery delivery. Hide

Lovely house, in a great location. Comfy beds and sofas. Cleaning could have been a bit more thorough.

The gardener turned up because he thought the house was empty, and the oven and shower room we had to clean when we arrived (even the oven was flashing saying it needed cleaning) apart from that, good
