Luxuriate in the comfort of this chic holiday home at Mawgan Porth that makes a great retreat for groups. Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom, contemporary abode is perfect for a large family stay, two families together or a group of friends. With stunning coastal and country views, it has a gorgeous garden for outdoor relaxation and a wood burner to toast beside as you play games on autumn and winter nights.

Wander inside to discover the exceptional space provided by the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/conservatory. Light the wood burner then settle down in front of the Smart TV or pull the doors on to the garden open so everyone can stroll out into the summer sunshine. Prepare hearty, homecooked feasts then dine in style in the conservatory as you gaze out over the garden. A family shower room and a utility room are also downstairs, together with a super-king-size bedroom that can be arranged as a twin if discussed in advance. Another super-king-size bedroom, also with zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as singles, is on the floor above. A twin bedroom and a double, with an en-site bathroom, are also at this level, along with a family shower room. Bask in the sunshine on the deck as you take in the views; play table tennis out in the tiered garden and cook supper out on the BBQ. There is parking here for three cars.

Pack your beachwear and stroll 350 metres down to the beach at Mawgan Porth. Newquay, 5 miles away, also has a good selection of beaches to choose from, particularly for those who enjoy surfing. Pick up the South West Coast Path at Mawgan Porth and walk 2 miles to the Bedruthan Steps, where legend has it that the rocks were used by a giant as stepping stones. For the Padel enthusiasts, why not visit Cornwall's largest padel club located at SeaSpace less than 10 minutes away in Porth.

The house is ok but there was no attention to detail . For the price we paid it should have been 5 star . There was no welcome pack when we arrived as promised . The garden was completely overgrown so there was nowhere for our Graddaughter to play . Several towels had holes in . The house could really do with updating . Mawgan Porth is a lovely beach village for a holiday and the house has a great location for walking to the beach. Theres plenty of room for 8, comfy beds and nice bathrooms. Good living and outdoor space with sauna and table tennis. However, like others we felt it needs a deep clean and bit of TLC - guests have left condiments but some are 6 years Read moreout of date and the kitchen is packed with odd items possibly gathered over time. Dining area dark as lights sparse, broken/missing bulbs. Would have appreciated a heads up re building site next door as currently you cant enjoy the outdoor space in the day, a change of linen after a week, a functioning sweeping brush and charge in vacuum cleaner. Weve had many holidays in Cornwall, this house has the potential to be, but currently isnt great value for money. Hide

Great spacious property, perfect for large family and amazing location. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable living areas. Cleanliness could have been a bit better and shame hot tub isnt for use of guests but we had a fab holiday and will return next year!

A really beautiful holiday home with lovely considered decor and layout. I would at least have a King size bed in the master bedroom and new seating on the front decking is definitely required! Location superb. Lovely conservatory to sit in and lovely garden patio area. The owners must be very proud - wish it was mine!

We enjoyed our stay at Pen y Mor. The house has plenty of space and was well equipped, and in a good position within walking distance of Mawgan Porth beach and the local amenities. Perfect location but tricky walk to the beach as no path and busy road. Accommodation lovely. As above, no barbecue available or access to the hot tub was disappointing as weather was perfect. Coffee cups dont fit under the coffee machine!

The cottage requires a clean and refresh inside and out. The rear garden is not 'user friendly', The wood fired hot tub should be condemned.

We love this house and have stayed here several times. The location is wonderful, just a short walk to the beach and amenities. House has everything you could need for an enjoyable family stay. Whist in need of a few repairs such as dog proofing the garden, the house remains a firm favourite.
