Explore the magical west coast of Cornwall from this delightful retreat near Whitecross. Situated 2.5 miles from Marazion, with its causeway across to the iconic tidal island of St Michael’s Mount, the gorgeous retreat makes a great place to unwind after trips out to the coast and country walks. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom cottage also welcomes canine companions and features a pretty courtyard garden for outdoor relaxation in the Cornish sunshine.

Enter this inviting retreat via the porch, where you can kick off your beach sandals or walking boots, to find the cottage has an open-plan, lounge/kitchen/diner, with a beamed ceiling, for you to enjoy. Head over to the sofa to settle back in front of the TV or read your book quietly for a spell. The kitchen area, which is up one step, is the perfect place to cook tasty breakfasts, lunches and dinners for your family or friends, and there is a table here for your holiday meals. The kitchen also features a handy washing machine for rinsing beach gear. Also downstairs is a family shower room. When you are ready to enjoy a good night’s sleep, climb the stairs up to the first floor to the king-size or the twin bedroom. Savour the summer warmth out in the delightful courtyard as you dine at the picnic table or have a cup of tea on one of the garden chairs. There is parking here for two cars.

Spend long sunny days on the sandy beach at Marazion, where you can paddle, swim and make castles on the sand. Stroll out to Michael’s Mount when the tide is out. Amble through Marazion itself, pondering in galleries and gift shops and pausing for afternoon tea. Visit St Ives, 6.5 miles away, with its many beaches and famous art galleries.

Lovely little cottage in a great location for exploring. The cottage is small but very well equipped and with the secure front patio is ideal for letting the dogs roam at leisure. There is some traffic noise as expected from the A30 which is a stones throw away but this didn't bother us at all.If you leave the property and turn left along the laRead morene you are in open countryside within minutes which offers some great walks and views especially from Tencrom Hill. The welcome back containing cream tea, biscuits and milk was very welcome after a long journey and the beds are so comfortable... Loved the stay and would certainly consider booking again :) Hide

The cottage is quaint as you would expect but just not adequate for two adults and two children. There is all the equipment you would need to do the basics but the space was a real issue; there isnt a door that leads to a back garden so it can feel claustrophobic at times. This would be better suited to two people max.

We have stayed at Mary Rose twice now as it is in a really good location for being able to travel to different places we like to visit. Also as it is just off the A30, we can leave the car at the cottage and get an all day family bus ticket to St Ives, Penzance and many other places. Parking and being dog friendly also make it great for us

Such a lovely cottage, it had everything we needed, very well equipped and immaculately clean. Perfectly situated for exploring around that area, St Ives, Penzance, Lands End and lots of tin mines all within half hour drive. If you dont mind walking the train station is only half hour walk with services to St Ives and Penzance only costing 4 returnRead more, St Ives train ride is a must the views were spectacular, it hugs the coastline. Also bus stops just outside the cottage along the main road with very regular services to surrounding areas too. The conservatory is lovely for just sitting, relaxing and taking it all in, door open sun coming in, eating breakfast just perfect. Hide

Lovely cottage for the two of us. Fully equipped and very central to everything. Was very clean, and even though it was near the road we didnt really notice any noise from cars even with the windows open.

The pictures of the property are very very deceptive it is a lot smaller and has virtually no garden or courtyard as you describe and is awfully close to a busy road A30 noisier than expected and not suitable for dogs

Hi there had a great time in Cornwall the cottage was ideally situated for us, it was clean and tidy, however we felt it could do with some TLC both the hot taps moved in the sink, the hooks on the back of the bathroom door are either broken or fall off when in use, also we felt for the money hand soap and bin bags wouldn't go a miss, the plates arRead moree to tall for the dishwasher which stops it cleaning properly, but saying that we would happily return again. Hope these comments are taken constructively many thanks Hide

Good accommodation, the photos deceive the size of the rooms slightly, but other than that very satisfactory .
