Escape to this charming character cottage, which is ideal for exploring mid Cornwall and following the Camel Trail. Situated in Edmonton, 2 miles from Wadebridge and 7 miles from Padstow, the exquisite, two-bedroom stone abode sleeps four guests and also welcomes four-legged friends. With a wood burner for winter warming and shared outside space for sunning yourselves during the summer months, this makes a great retreat at any time of year.
Let yourselves in after each day out on the coast or in the countryside to make yourselves at home in the stylish, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Dating back to the 19th century, this cottage marries original features, such as exposed stonework, with modern touches, including a Smart TV. Stoke up the wood burner in here after autumn and winter walks, then play games together or plan the following day’s fun as you unwind on the comfortable seating. Take turns at preparing homecooked feasts in the kitchen area, then gather round the table. When you are ready to retire for the night, climb the stairs up to the first floor of the cottage to lay your head in either the doble bedroom or the twin, with beds that can also be made up as one super-king-size by prior arrangement. The family bathroom is also on the first floor. Carry morning coffee out into the shared courtyard or take your book and a reclining chair out into the sunshine of the grassy area to the front of the cottage. There is a shared car park at the cottage, where spaces are subject to availability.
Make your way into Wadebridge to hire bikes and follow the Camel Trail for 5.5 miles along beside the river into Padstow. Grab towels and swimming costumes and have a day out to sandy Rock Beach, 9 miles away.
