  • Set within an old schoolhouse’s grounds in central Padstow

Property code: OC-P00337

A beautiful coastal cottage nestled in a leafy corner of the picturesque fishing port of Padstow on the North Cornish Coast. This elegant oasis is ideal for small groups of friends or families seeking a relaxing break by the sea. Pose for a wetsuit-clad group photo before gliding along the glistening Camel Estuary on a tranquil SUP session from Rock (1 mile), before perching on the patio to graze through a snack board.

This airy property is brimming with a breezy beach house charm. Picture crisp neutral and cool blue tones, sun-bleached wooden textures, and subtle nautical detailing. Slip off sandy shoes in the cloakroom then step into the light shaker kitchen. Flick on the kettle and rummage for nibbles or reline on the seat by the bay window overlooking the garden. Pad into the open-plan lounge/diner and set the mood with a crowd-pleaser playlist while you adorn the dining table with a tempting evening spread. After dinner, kick up weary feet on the sleek leather sofas and flick through the Smart TV as you scoff something sweet. Sneak away to the light-dappled conservatory for a natter or wedge open the patio door to enjoy the balmy Cornish climate. Upstairs, bask in the breeze from the Juliette balcony in the double room or slip into the soft sheets of the bright twin. Outside, settle in for a spot of al fresco breakfast on the patio chairs then raid the wooden hut for your beach toys and hit the coastline.

Step out and peruse the array of independent boutiques peppering the streets of Padstow (500 metres). Feel the salt spray as you cross the Camel Estuary aboard the passenger ferry to the charming village of Rock (1.5 miles) or while away sun-soaked afternoons on the sandy shores of Harlyn Bay (4 miles).

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 double, 1 twin
  • 1 bathroom – shower over the bath and WC, 1 additional WC in the ground-floor cloakroom

A perfect spot, within a 7 minute walk of the harbour and a parking spacewhat a find! It was also the perfect size for our party of 3 adults and 2 retrievers. Great location for central Padstow, with easy walking down to the harbour/town in a few minutes. The car parking is easy and nearby, and the cottage itself has everything you need. Internet is provided together with a smart TV in the lounge. We had a very comfortable stay in this modern cottage with good heating and plenty of hot water! Thoroughly Read morerecommended. Hide

Sands is ideally located just a 5-minute walk downhill to the centre of Padstow, making it easy to access the town while still enjoying a peaceful setting slightly out of the hustle and bustle. The designated parking space was a real bonus. Inside, the house is comfortable and well-equipped, with comfortable beds and the convenience of both a baRead moreth and a shower, which we really appreciated. Some of the equipment is a bit well-worn and could benefit from being replaced. The garden furniture was underwhelming, and the exterior of the property could do with a little TLC. Hide

Excellent location and parking. Nicely equipped. Rear garden is tiny and garden furniture requires removal or replacement. Some small niggles in the property but didn't spoil our stay.

This cottage is in an excellent position re walking into Padstow, or going for coastal walks, and a bus stop outside too, Tesco's in walking distance. Good path that leads to St Petroc's church opposite for walking your dog.

Cosy, homely house in a brilliant location in Padstow. Wonderfully close to town but its situation in the little complex of houses was quiet and restful. Parking is a bonus (having both an allocated space and unallocated spaces - the allocated space can be tight as we travelled in our Ford Transit van for bikes and boards but unallocated spaces couRead moreld also be used). The house was just fine for the four of us (2 adults, 2 children + 1 dog) but imagine it might be a bit tight for 4 adults with just a sofa seating 3 etc. But a really good property, nicely furnished and well equipped for a really happy stay. The owners have clearly tried to foresee the needs of their guests. Thank you. Hide
