Offering trips to the beach, extended coastal walks or thrilling boat trips, a stay in Padstow is always teeming with opportunities for memory-making holiday pastimes.

Snug and inviting throughout, the owners of this lovely property have made the most out of the small space to create an utterly cosy abode. The ground floor is split into a lounge, a dining room, a downstairs bathroom and a compact kitchen which leads out onto the furnished and fully enclosed patio. As well as a handsome feature fireplace in the dining room, the lounge is equipped with a working wood burner for adding to that night-time ambience on cool evenings. Follow a staircase up to the first floor to find the bedrooms. A spacious double with charming window seats and plenty of storage space sits beside a twin bedroom that’s made with children in mind.

A short half-mile walk takes you down into Padstow, a magnificent town with plenty of renowned restaurants for those night’s when you can’t be bothered to cook. You can embark on an exhilarating sea safari boat ride from the harbour or simply take the passenger ferry over to Rock (1 mile) to visit their stunning sandy beach (1.5 miles). The town is dotted with places where you can rent bikes, partly owing to the Camel Trail bike ride which starts here (1 mile) and threads through Cornwall to Wenford Bridge (13 miles).

We really liked the location, the front aspect to the church, the sitting room including nice upholstery and the sun trap rear terrace. The tiny wc, tiny bathroom and small kitchen were not up to the required standard for a property of this price.

Disappointed this property has a 4 star rating, for us not up to standard on many levels. We have stayed in over 15 properties in Padstow over the years and this was one of the worst for value for money.

We had a wonderful week at Mabley Cottage. We loved the location at the top of town, peaceful yet convenient. It was the ultimate cosy cottage. Lovely decor. Log-burner in the sitting room and very effective electric heaters too. We had a wonderful week and would definitely like to stay here again.
