Holiday in Cornwall in this gorgeous, detached property. Situated close to the River Camel and Padstow, you’ll be able to enjoy the local culture, nearby works and local wildlife. This beautiful big property with scenic countryside views would suit a mixed group of friends, couples or an older family.

As you enter the property you’ll see a grand lounge with a wonderful wood burner and patio doors leading to the garden. These allow plenty of natural light in and the whole area is decorated by mixing old-world glamour with wooden touches. Continue to the kitchen/diner, an open-plan area with beautiful views of the estuary. The room is well-equipped and is paved with stone to regulate the temperature. Upstairs you’ll find four bedrooms and a family bathroom. The bathroom has stylish decor and a deep bath to soak in. There’s a super-king bedroom and a double (both with en-suite bathrooms), one double bedroom, and finally, one lovely twin room too. Everything is designed to be relaxing and comfortable. The garden is wonderful size, with a lawn, patio furniture and a BBQ for sunny days with tasty food.

This property is located in a remote area, passed by the Camel Trail around 500 metres away. This trail follows the River Camel and makes for a lovely hike or cycle ride. Follow it downriver to Padstow (4 miles), a beautiful town which has transformed into a tourist hotspot in recent years. You’ll find food, shopping and pubs around, plus boat tours where you can spot seals, whales, dolphins, puffins, gannets and jellyfish. Alternatively, enjoy a round of golf at one of the many nearby courses, or go surfing in Trevone Bay (6 miles).

Spacious cottage in lovely location and close to the camel trail. All the usual facilities needed . Plenty of parking for up to 4 vehicles. Like it so much have been staying here since 2018.

Not worth the expense, feel robbed. May sound harsh but we have stayed in better properties for far less. Isolated, poor dcor, very dated

We had a lovely time staying at Monte Gordo. We are a multi-generational family and it suited our needs excellently. Everything was very clean and well equipped. It catered for our sleeping arrangements. We needed 4 bedrooms and properties that big are very few and far between. It is a fabulous location. Owners are friendly, place needs lots of improvement, toilet taps are old fashion (separate hot and cold water), radiator needs checks.
