Picturesque Padstow has excellent shops, cafes and restaurants, with family-friendly, golden-sand beaches just a few miles distant.
This holiday home has comfortable seating in the open-plan lounge/diner, with glimpses of the estuary from the bay window. A cosy gas fire, books and games add a welcoming vibe. French doors by the country-style wooden dining area open onto the garden and there is a light and bright kitchen. Upstairs, there is a family bathroom and three pretty bedrooms, two with lovely period fireplaces. They comprise a double with a splendid estuary view; a zip-and-link twin which can be a super-king-size; and 2′6″bunk beds, suitable for children. Outside, the enclosed paved rear garden has patio furniture, perfect for drinks and outdoor dining.
Charming Padstow is full of character, with narrow streets and a busy working harbour where colourful fishing boats unload their catch of the day. Buy some fish for supper at the waterfront or enjoy a meal at one of the town’s popular seafood restaurants. From the harbour, you can also embark on a sea safari boat trip, with the chance of seeing seals, dolphins and other marine wildlife up close. For nearby classic beaches where you can swim, surf and explore rock pools, head for Trevone Bay (2 miles) or Harlyn Bay (3 miles). Take the scenic Camel Trail, on foot or by hired bike for beautiful estuary and country views.
