For a Cornish holiday, there’s nowhere like Padstow. Situated on the mouth of the River Camel, you’ll be surrounded by beaches and in a community which has kept its fishing trade whilst welcoming visitors. This elegant property would make a great base for a family who wants to enjoy everything on offer.
On the ground floor of the property you’ll find the beautiful living spaces. There’s a lovely and well-equipped kitchen for rustling up feasts and packing picnics, a dining area to enjoy your food and a lounge with a large bay window which looks out over the front garden. Everything feels sociable and decorated with a charming style. Continue upstairs to find the three bedrooms. Firstly, there’s a double bedroom with another wide window and a twin room. There is also a third room with a single day bed. A stylish bathroom completes this floor, with a bath and separate shower cubicle whether you fancy a long, relaxing soak or a quick morning refresh. The cottage has a front garden with a table and chairs, and a larger back yard with a two-tier patio and lawn combo. Enjoy a long warm evening with something tasty on the BBQ and games on the grass.
Padstow’s fresh fish restaurants makes it the perfect place to go out for dinner, and the town has many places to choose from. Padstow has plenty of activities on offer too, with sea safaris, local boutiques and seasonal events. Further out you’ll find Trevone Bay (2.5 miles), a surfing hotspot that is also great for sandcastles and rock pools. While there, keep an eye out for peregrine falcons and wild seals. Enjoy days out on Bodmin Moor where you can look out for the famous, mysterious beast, then visit King Arthur’s Hall (16 miles) and finish the trip by visiting Tintagel (20 miles), where King Arthur was supposedly born.
