Occupying a quiet spot on the outskirts of Sennen Cove, this bright and spacious detached cottage has been imaginatively updated to make a fantastic couple’s retreat. Offering cosy accommodation for two guests, the property lies less than half a mile from a glorious sandy surfing beach along the secluded coast of West Cornwall. Beautifully decorated in light, airy shades throughout, this cheerful coastal-themed retreat is a wonderfully relaxing base for beach fans, keen surfers, eager walkers and nature lovers discovering this unforgettable area’s stunning landscapes and seascapes, quaint villages and sheltered coves.

The quirkily decorated, light-filled lounge/diner has high ceilings with skylights, along with comfortable seating, a Smart TV and a lovely dining area over by the patio doors. From here, a few steps lead up into the cosy king-size bedroom with a window overlooking the lounge. The property also offers a stylish wet room and a sleek, spacious and beautifully designed kitchen with a breakfast bar and ample equipment. Popping outside, the enclosed patio terrace has plenty of seating and makes a charming spot for dining alfresco and enjoying glimpses towards the sea. A handy outdoor tap is on hand for washing wetsuits and sandy paws and toes, and there’s also a useful secure wooden outbuilding for storing surfboards and bikes.

The cottage lies within easy reach of the beautiful beach at Sennen Cove, with a range of great pubs, cafes and restaurants nearby. Perfectly situated for exploring West Cornwall, the cottage is just a couple of miles from Land’s End. The area offers a host of popular attractions including the coastal Minack Theatre (4.5 miles), The Merry Maidens Stone Circle, Carn Euny Ancient Village (both 6.5 miles), Tanglewood Wild Garden (8 miles) and Trengwainton Garden (9.5 miles). Adele and I had a great two weeks at the Old Store with our two dogs Cooper and Henry. The Old Store is in an ideal location to relax and explore. The Owners were very helpful on the 2 occasions I had to contact them, one of which was our fault when the pump to the toilet and shower system was accidentally turned off and Tim had to pay us a visit.

had a laugh using the raised " bed on a shelf" but this would not be easily accessible for many. Great location - should make more of the easy level walk to Lands End on the footpath at the end of Maria's Lane. Great to be able to sit outside. Quiet area with view of the sea through the houses. Easy access to footpaths.

Cosy cottage in a beautiful location. Generally well equipped, and very tastefully decorated. Avoid though if any mobility issues, as it is difficult to get in and out of the bed, which can only be accessed by climbing in from the bottom. There is no space either side of the bed. It literally fits between two walls, so can feel a bit claustrophobicRead more. Hide
