This quirky eco lodge, one of a group of 11 on the edge of Porthtowan village, makes an idyllic base for a break with your friends, family, and canine companions. The luxury lodge is all on one level with an open-plan living area with a wood burner, and a glass-covered outdoor decked area with a hot tub, warm shower, and BBQ. It’s close to local amenities and some of Cornwall’s best-loved attractions.
With wooden floors, beams and furniture, and comfortable soft furnishings, the lodge combines rustic with luxury. Go up the ramp or the steps into the bright and welcoming lounge/kitchen/diner where there are comfy sofas, a Smart TV, and a wood burner. The kitchen/diner has all mod cons for cooking meals in, a breakfast bar and stools, and a dining table and chairs for mealtimes and games evenings. There are two bedrooms, the king-size has a TV for the ultimate in relaxation, and a contemporary en-suite shower room, and there’s a flexible twin/king room, as well as a family bathroom in the same style. Outside is a private oasis with abundant plants and wildlife. Enjoy the setting lazing in the hot tub, under drench shower, fire up the BBQ and eat alfresco at the outdoor dining furniture. There’s also a lawned area and an outside cupboard for storing your beach gear.
Grab your boards and head to the beach (0.5 miles), it’s also a popular spot with families, and has a large mermaid pool you can swim in (at low tide). Porthtowan has a village shop and several places to eat out, including a fish and chip shop and a beach cafe. For more eateries head to St Agnes (4 miles), home to stunning beaches and secluded coves, and visit Godrevy (10 miles) for more surfing and stunning walks.
