Set amid idyllic countryside on the Cornwall and Devon border, this beautiful barn conversion offers a wonderful escape to the country. Part of a small complex of holiday homes on the owner’s farm, this delightful property offers ample accommodation for up to four guests and welcomes two playful pups. Spend your days fishing, golfing, and exploring the Cornish coast and countryside. Then return here to relax in the hot tub and unwind in the inviting lounge.

Thoughtfully converted and beautifully renovated, this split-level barn conversion showcases the property’s heritage with exposed stone walls, wooden, beamed ceilings, and original details such as an old cartwheel. Large windows ensure it feels light and airy throughout. The ground floor is open-plan, the lounge, kitchen and diner flowing naturally from one space to the next. Rustle up delicious dinners in the fitted kitchen, then enjoy memorable mealtimes gathered around the dining table, or fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco in the private courtyard. Outdoor furniture invites you to relax beneath the stars and enjoy a chilled glass of wine while bubbling in the hot tub. Then get cosy under the covers in the two top-floor bedrooms; both rooms have en-suite shower rooms.

There’s plenty to do without leaving the farm, including table tennis, a games room, lake and river fishing, and a practice golf area. Trethorne Golf Course offers a free round of golf to barn guests too. Nearby Roadford Lake (6.5 miles) offers a range of outdoor pursuits, including paddleboarding, canoeing, sailing, fishing, walking and cycling. Alternatively, get salty and sandy on Bude’s beaches (19 miles) or explore the legend of King Arthur at Tintagel (20.5 miles).

The cottage was really nice, well laid out & had everything we needed for our short stay. Lovely that there was a bed & towel ready for the dog, & a nice touch with milk in the fridge and freshly made scones. We didn't cook on the rayburn but imagine it would make the cottage homely & cosy, particularly in winter. Nice secure outdoor space with furRead moreniture & great hot tub. Loved the beautiful countryside setting & the beautiful lakes -more to do on-site with games room etc Hide
