This family-friendly cottage in the village of Polruan has an eclectic style which blends the property's original features with modern updates in a beautiful way. Feature pieces of furniture can be seen throughout, with a bold spiral staircase in the centre of the property creating the wow factor. Get to know the area with a walk on the South West Coast Path to the shingle beach of Lantic Bay (2 miles) for a lovely day.

After a day out exploring, the living room welcomes you to relax, with two sofas, a TV and a wood burner set into the exposed stone fireplace. The kitchen is charmingly set up, with a mixture of colours and styles blending together to create a quirky space with a stylish dining table for mealtimes. Take the spiral staircase upstairs and you’ll find the two charming bedrooms, including a spacious room with a king-size bed and a quaint single bedroom, well-suited to children. Up a further set of stairs on the second floor is the final bedroom, an all-white room with an apex ceiling and a sumptuous king-size bed. At the front of the property is a small suntrap garden with a bistro-style table and chairs looking out into the village.

Across the water, accessible via the passenger ferry, Fowey (0.5 miles) is well worth a visit to wander through the local shops and stop off for a bite to eat at one of the cafes or restaurants to enjoy a day at a slower pace. Whether your group consists of adults and children or all adults, the Eden Project (15 miles) has something to offer for all ages, with impressive biomes filled with exotic plant life that will have you feeling as if you’ve been transported to the rainforest or the Mediterranean.

Fabulous location, warm, comfortable -- particularly the beds -- attractive decor, and a great sociable and relaxing space for our family of 5.

We had a lovely stay in this cottage. It has been renovated to a really high standard with very clever use of space. The beds are the most comfortable and bedding is soft and luxurious, which makes such a difference as I have learnt to expect bulky pillows and duvets but these were all lovely. It contains everything you need for your stay, a good sRead moreized fridge, freezer a cosy kitchen diner and comfy settees in the living room. We had the most wonderful few days at this extremely stylish and comfortable cottage ,unusual in that it accepts dogs .It was very clean and very well thought out ,close to a lovely pub but with no sea view ,no real matter. Those with mobility problems could probably give this a miss as there is a central spiral staircase. We wouldn't hesitate to bRead moreook again. Hide

This is a beautifully maintained stone walled cottage, just a short walk from the quay, almost next door to a small general store and bakery. We had a wonderful time here, mixing self-catering with eating out. Also the staff have been very helpful, friendly and professional each time we have spoken. we would all recommend this lovely home, and the Read moreamazing location to anyone. Hide
