Perfectly combining charming original features with a contemporary colour palette and extra special touches everywhere you look, indulge in glorious countryside views from every window of this reverse-level rural retreat tucked away in the Cornish countryside, just a stone’s throw from the wonderful sandy beaches lining the coastline.

Set within 7 acres of open countryside, you won’t have to leave your surroundings for long as you head upstairs to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to admire sublime views of the rolling countryside from the expanse of picture windows. Complete with a high vaulted ceiling and exposed ceiling beams, this endlessly social space beckons you to get creative in the farmhouse-style kitchen, make special family memories seated around the rustic dining table and hunker down on the plush sofa beside the warmth of the roaring wood burner. As day turns to dusk, you have a bedroom on this level, plus a further three bedrooms downstairs on the ground floor, which all feature brilliant rural views, to retire to for a well-earned rest. Outside, dine alfresco on the patio, explore the enclosed lawn, or enjoy the games room; there’s also a field to exercise four-legged friends.

The small rural hamlet of Horningtops is 3.5 miles away from the market town of Liskeard at the heart of South East Cornwall on the edge of Bodmin Moor and at the head of the Looe River Valley, which provides a myriad of walking trails through the picturesque scenery to explore on foot, by bike or with four-legged friends. Weave your way through Liskeard’s pretty town centre to discover its independent shops, cafes and restaurants behind the original Victorian shopfronts. Answer the call of the sea 4.5 miles away at the picturesque harbourside town of Looe, offering a wide sandy beach, beautiful woodland and cobbled streets to explore.

Our extended family (and our spaniel) stayed at Chy Kerensa over the Easter holidays and it was a fantastic stay. There's lots of space both inside and out. The property setting and views were amazing and the rooms and common areas are cozy and comfortable. The kitchen and dining area were ideal for cooking and socializing. Our stay at Che Kerensa was so comfortable. Our host had left many treats and delicious goodies that we enjoyed. The cottage was decorated for Christmas which made such a difference. The weather was wet and cold but we were so warm and cosy by the lovely fireplace and we had everything we needed. What a lovely holiday. I highly recommend this cottaRead morege. Hide

The house is set in a beautiful location and certainly away from the crowds albeit still only a short drive to either the south or the north coast locations. It was well presented and is excellent for dogs with the enclosed paddock to the rear.

We had a fantastic couple of weeks in this fabulous cottage. Secluded, very well equipped and in the perfect location with plenty to do within a short drive. The large gardens and meadow were prefect for the dogs and the owner was incredibly helpful. The welcome pack (including fresh eggs!) was a lovely touch. We'll be back for sure!
