With its slate flooring, oil-fired Aga and traditional beams, this Cornish country cottage offers a picturesque escape amongst the unbridled beauty of The Roseland Heritage Coast. This Grade II-listed place is surrounded by never-ending fields and delightful greenery which lend the holiday home a sense of serenity, peace and quiet. The beach is just 1.5 miles away, as is the South West Coast Path with its miles of clifftop scenery and majestic seascapes to be soaked up. The property offers a warm and welcoming retreat for five guests, perfect for a smaller family, and is dog-friendly for those eager to hike the heritage coastline with canine company.
Despite its plentiful original features, the property has been lovingly updated to reach superb standards with up-to-date appliances and ever-comfortable furnishings. Emitting the warmth of the Aga, the kitchen/diner acts as a hub of the house with space to cook and dine together. Across the hallway, the lovely lounge also invites sociable moments with soft seating, a Smart TV and a wood burner. Create further memories together out in the garden, an enclosed, grassy space with furniture and so much space for children and pets to play. Once worn out, three comfortable bedrooms await on the first floor – a sumptuous king-size room, a welcoming double, and a single bedroom. Serving the bedrooms is a delightful family bathroom with a freestanding, roll-top bath.
The south-facing Pendower Beach should be your first port of call on any sunny day, offering a golden arc of sand for unwinding, sunbathing and ball games. Along with sitting on the coastal path, it’s also part of the Cornish Way Cycle Route for those hoping to get to know Cornwall’s scenery with the help of two wheels. Walk or bike down to St Mawes (6 miles) where you can board a pleasant passenger ferry over to Falmouth (9 miles).
