Experience Cornwall at its finest and stay at this convenient two-bed base in Charlestown, just outside St Austell. Bring your other half, come with another couple or as a small family – it’s equally versatile for any group. And, best of all, add two canine chums to the guest list, so the pack can holiday in style together. Use this modern, terraced house as a jumping-off point for exploring both the coast and inland, or just head to the local beach.

Leave outdoor gear in the handy hallway of this family-friendly house. Head through to the open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner, which makes an ideal and practical space for spending quality time together. Settle into the comfortable sofa or armchairs to chat, read or watch the Smart TV. The kitchen area is equipped with everything you'll need for your holiday and has a dining area with plenty of seating for all. Upstairs, you'll find the bedrooms and the family bathroom. The twin bedroom has a Smart TV, while the king-size bedroom has plenty of storage and a dressing table. Outside, dine alfresco on the furnished patio terrace, or follow the staircase leading to an enclosed lawn with mature planting and further seating.

Get to know the beautiful Georgian village of Charlestown, complete with its handsome harbour housing tall ships. Wander its atmospheric streets, now full of independent shops and cafes and eateries for those non-self-catering days. The lovely sand and shingle beach is within 1 mile, so pack your beach towels for paddling and dips if you’re brave enough. Further afield, you can have a horticultural treat visiting the Lost Gardens of Heligan (7 miles), the Eden Project (3.5 miles) and Pinetum Gardens (1.5 miles). Dogs on leads are welcome in all three, bar the biomes at Eden Project.

Nice comfortable house, good quiet position. Kitchen fairly good, hot water too hot for safety, Shame that the fridge and freezer doors were fitted the wrong hand- would be so easy to correct

Great holiday home just 10 minutes down the hill to the harbour, well equipped and a parking space. Very well placed between the Eden Project & Lost Gardens of Heligan. Good coastal walks to sandy bays and lovely, clean local pebbly beach 10 minutes walk. Plenty of local eateries within walking distance. Beautiful area.

The cottage is very conveniently located for Charlestown and benefits from its own parking space. The patio is not very pleasant, as you share a small space with a wheelie bin. The beds are comfy, but the double bedroom is very overlooked (due to the split level gardens) and the stairs steep.

We picked Charlestown as our base as it was central to all the places we wanted to visit and the property's location was ideal. Charlestown has some nice pubs and places to eat in the evening, all within walking distance. There is a bus service nearby and Carlyon Bay and Pendean beach(s) are both within walking distance. The property was cosy (bedsRead more comfy), well furnished and well equipped with everything required for a good holiday. Garden lovely to sit out & great for the dog. Would book again. Hide

Lovely comfortable cottage, just a short walk from the harbour / eateries etc. Dog friendly but steep steps to the grass area, so not great for older dogs / less able people.

This small but beautifully well equipped house has all you need for a vacation. Beds were so comfy after a long day walking and swimming. The two level garden is ideal for catching the evening sun on the top level and a morning cuppa on the lower level. Ideally situated with a 10 minute walk to harbour, beach, cafes and museum. 7 minute walk to TesRead moreco. Charlestown is the perfect village for our family who wanted to avoid big crowds and enjoy calmness with friendly locals. Hide
