This stunning stable conversion makes the perfect rural retreat oozing character and romance in every room. Located in the heart of the Cornish countryside on a working farm (where you can meet the animals!) it’s just 4 miles from the stunning south Cornwall coast.
The cottage has a quirky layout. It’s set over two floors with the lounge/kitchen/diner on the first floor and the downstairs bedroom accessed from the stable door on the ground floor. The upstairs open-plan space is cute and cosy where you can cook, eat, and relax in front of the Smart TV. It’s in the eaves of the old stable, with exposed brick and wooden beams. The bedroom is no less charming, with original brickwork, oak doors and floors, and an en-suite shower room. Outside is a pretty courtyard for you all to enjoy. It’s enclosed and has a BBQ, table and chairs, perfect for dining al fresco.
Head out from the door on the nearby footpaths or you can explore the owner’s land through Cornwall’s glorious countryside and woodlands. For beach walks head to Whitsand Bay (5.5 miles), Seaton (5.5 miles) or Downderry (5 miles) and pick up the South West Coast Path. Adrenaline Quarry (4 miles) has lots of activities to get your heart rate racing, including go karting, cliff jumping and axe throwing. Keen cyclists will love the Camel Trail, an 18-mile route (nearly all of it is traffic-free) that links Padstow, Wadebridge and Bodmin. If you fancy a gentle boat trip, visit the lovely fishing village of Looe (8 miles away), it has great places to eat out too. You can also explore the local area on four legs trekking with the riding school in Horningtops (5 miles away).
