Escape to the south coast of Cornwall in a cosy cottage with a warming, homely feel, a hidden staircase revealing an attic games room and a sheltered garden. Located in a quiet village near Falmouth, you’ll enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside while also benefitting from the nearby attractions and amenities. If you’re an animal lover, make sure you visit the donkey sanctuary less than 0.5 miles away.

As you step inside the cottage, you’ll notice the character oozing from exposed beams, deep windowsills and the exposed brick fireplace. Huddle around the wood burner on the sofas in the lounge while watching a film on the Smart TV. The dining area is comfortable and ideal for special mealtimes with your guests. The neutral-toned farmhouse-style kitchen is attractive and well-organised. You can also find a utility room and a family bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs are two double bedrooms – one of which contains the steep staircase which leads up to the games room with a single bed with a trundle bed and games consoles. Outside is an enclosed garden with a BBQ and furniture for dining alfresco.

Surround yourself with nature during your stay in the sleepy hamlet of Mabe Burthouse while being within 5 miles of tranquil sandy beaches as well as having the vibrant town of Falmouth just 4 miles away. The best beaches nearby are Swanpool (4 miles), Maenporth (4.5 miles) and Gyllyngvase (4.5 miles), which are great for a swim or trying out water sports. In Falmouth, you’ll discover the world’s third-largest natural harbour along with an art gallery, a museum and fantastic eateries serving up local produce which has been cooked to perfection. If you’re partial to a charming seaside village, head to Porthleven (11 miles).

Loved this cottage. On arrival found essentials such as milk, bread, tea, coffee, sugar, washing pods, dishwasher tablets and all cleaning materials. Excellent equipment provided. Lovely furniture, comfy beds. As weather was bad on a couple of days we were quite happy to stay in and relax. Jay and Lou were brilliant and responded to a couple of queRead moreries very quickly. I would definitely go back. Hide

We really enjoyed at stay. The kitchen is very well equipped and we were able to cook a lot of meals from scratch. The property was very clean with fresh towels, bed covers, etc for us to use. We truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property. It's a home from home. It's very near Falmouth (12 mins by car), and there is an Asda (5 minutes Read moreaway). In terms of parking, you need to park on the road but we managed to find a free parking space right outside the property on most days. Hide
