Romantic retreat set in a beautiful location on the wonderful south coast of Cornwall. It’s the perfect getaway for two, with a bubbling hot tub.
Among gorgeous landscaped grounds, lies the perfect romantic retreat for two within 1 mile from Lanreath. It’s a stunning detached bolthole offering fantastic accommodation and peace and quiet. Although it’s on the owner’s grounds, it feels really secluded and private. The quirky modern lodge benefits from contemporary design and is furnished to a high standard with luxury extras including a wood burner inside and the sheltered hot tub outside.
Perfectly combining crisp, clean lines and modern design with organic touches, you’ll feel relaxed just stepping into this cosy lodge. The lounge/kitchen/diner is a fabulous open-plan space with a cosy wood burner and French doors onto the garden. It also has quirky windows in various lengths and orientation to add focal interest – and let even more light flood in. The sumptuous sofa sits under the high, sloping ceiling with exposed beams and attractive wooden flooring. There’s a dining table in the corner and the small but well-equipped kitchen is along one wall behind here. The stylish king-size bedroom has an en-suite shower room and French doors onto the terrace – ideal for lazy holiday breakfasts. Outside space consists of the furnished terrace complete with hot tub and a lawned area with pond and a swing.
The quaint fishing town of Looe is 6 miles away. Join the South West Coast Path and head in either direction (or both) to see Cornwall from a different perspective and blow the cobwebs away. Feel like a pirate as you discover hidden beaches and coves around the National Trust’s Lantivet Bay (7 miles). A bit further on is Bodinnick with its car ferry (foot passengers also welcome) over to bustling Fowey. Or there’s a passenger ferry between Fowey and Polruan.
