The popular coastal resort of Bude is just 9.5 miles away, where you’ll find sandy beaches and a plethora of independent shops.

Perch on a bar stool in the kitchen area with a glass of wine, as dinner is being prepared, before enjoying an evening of great food and laughter around the large dining table in the dining room. At the end of the day, choose from two cosy lounge areas. The first boasts exposed beams and a roaring wood burner and the second is a light and bright space with a crackling open fire. Outside, admire the views over open countryside from the private patio whilst the kids burn off steam playing on the large, shared lawn.
Bude is full of seaside charm and makes a great family day out. Build sandcastles on Summerleaze Beach, where you can also enjoy a spot of swimming in the outdoor tidal pool. From here, clifftop paths take you high above the sea, where the views across the rugged landscape are truly breathtaking. After a long walk, return to the town to sample the ice cream or get a bite to eat in one of the many cute cafes or restaurants. In the afternoon, hire a pedalo or rowing boat and drift majestically along the canal.
