In the heart of a family-run dairy farm, this big and beautiful stone cottage stands proudly within a flowering walled garden. Close to the rugged coast of Bude and sitting just on the border between Devon and Cornwall, you really do have endless opportunities to explore right on your doorstep.
You'll find yourself in a fantastic location, yet it'll be hard to pull yourself away from the many wonders hidden within the cottage. Sink into the bubbling hot tub and watch the sun set over the hills, dine alfresco, light the wood burner and snuggle up on the sofas or cook up a feast on the Aga and enjoy a meal around the wooden table and chairs. With its own private beach hut for use during your holiday, you can take your holiday to the seaside and continue the relaxation there. The charm of the farm is noted through the subtle traditional hints; exposed stone, fireplaces to warm the bedrooms, washed grey furniture and a backdrop of green through every window.
Embrace farm life by helping collect the morning eggs and feeding the calves, or grab your surfboard and head to the seaside. The sandy beach at Bude is just a 3.5-mile drive away and is well worth a visit for its fantastic eateries, tidal pool and canal. Head along the South West Coast Path for a day trip at Hartland or travel further afield and you'll find yourself at Welcombe (12 miles away).
