Get away from it all with a stay at this delightful, stone cottage near Little Petherick, just 2 miles from Padstow. The exquisite, two-bedroom cottage offers airy, light-filled accommodation for up to four guests and two of their happy hounds. Take the pups or the children to run about in the shared, three-acre paddock, within the grounds of this inviting property, which enjoys proximity to the North Cornish coast, as well as to some beautiful areas of countryside. Go cycling, as well as walking, in your surroundings, including along the 18-mile-long Camel Trail.
Stroll into the single-storey cottage and find yourselves in the welcoming lounge/kitchen/diner, with its stone fireplace, beamed ceiling and calm interiors. Make a cup of fresh coffee in the kitchen area or pop dinner into the oven, while you play a tune or two through the Amazon Echo. Light the wood burner; settle in front of the Smart TV while dinner cooks and then call your family or friends to the table when it is ready. On warm days throw open the French doors so everyone can wander outside. Lay your head in either the king-size bedroom or the twin, which both also have doors on to the garden. The family bathroom features a freestanding bath and large rainfall shower. Take breakfast out in the courtyard during the summer months and sit out in the paddock as the sun goes down in the evening. There is parking for two cars at the cottage.
Spend your afternoons in Padstow ambling round the shops and finding cafes and restaurants in which to dine out. Book a boat trip out along the coast from the harbour or catch a ferry over to Rock. Swim and enjoy water sports from the beaches close to Rock or try Harbour Cove or St George’s Cove at Padstow.
