Visit the southern coast of Cornwall and stay at this cosy coastal cottage that sleeps four guests. This stylish property is located in a lovely quiet village yet is perfectly situated for exploring nearby tourist attractions. The Eden Project and the nearest beach are just 2 miles away.

The magnificent and modern kitchen has an original fireplace with an oil stove fire. There is also a table here, ideal for evening meals or morning coffees while planning your day. Head through to the lounge and enjoy the bright and airy space in front of a warming wood burner. Upstairs are the two bedrooms with views over the garden and a spacious bathroom. The spectacular garden has a patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ for dining alfresco. There is also an outside WC, perfect for spending an evening together in the garden. Children can have a kick about on the lawn or enjoy the swinging chair or tree swing.

A mainline rail station is situated nearby which means you don’t need to have a car to explore the area. The breathtaking Eden Project is just 2 miles from here with the neighbouring Hangloose Adventure, where you can take part in ziplining, aerial trekking and other exhilarating activities. There are plenty of picturesque fishing villages and secluded coves to discover too such as Fowey (5 miles) and Mevagissey (10 miles). Keen walkers can join the pilgrimage route, Saint’s Way, it runs from Padstow to Fowey and features ancient footbridges and medieval churches.

Really nice cottage massive garden, but stairs are very steep, so anyone with walking disabilities could struggle but great place to stay we really enjoyed it

We loved our stay at Violet Cottage, it was clean, cosy, comfortable and well equipped. A great location for exploring the area and all it has to offer. Perfect for autumn/winter with the log burners really making it warm and cosy. Great garden for children or dogs, very quiet apart from the odd train. Definitely recommend.

We had a great time at Violet Cottage. The big garden was wonderful for Ruby our dog (labrador) to run a round in & safe & secure. A nice old cottage with modern touches/equipment. Plenty of dishwasher tablets etc are supplied which is nice. It was nice to see the odd train go by at the end of the garden. Enjoyed walking around Par & days on the beRead moreach. Good location for trips further a field. Friendly locals. We would definitely book again in the future. Hide

This is a really nice cottage with a huge dog-friendly garden. The interior is beautifully decorated, and has a good set of kitchen equipment, including a cafetiere. There is a train line at the end of the garden, but while you can hear it from inside, it is not loud, is infrequent, and did not disturb us or our dog. Parking out front was good for Read moreus - the road is narrow in places, but there is comfortable space for parking and passing here. A great option in Par/St Blazey Hide

Violet Cottage is charming and extremely well placed for seeing the surrounding areas and attractions. The garden is beautiful and our little dog really loved having the space to run free. Very well equiped and tastefully decorated - we will definitely be visiting again.

A nicely appointed cottage in a good location for exploring the South Coast. The large garden is a bonus and much enjoyed by our Yorkie. We appreciated being able to arrive before 5pm . We had a lovely week in Violet Cottage. We didn't have the best weather during our stay but the boys did make use of the lovely garden, as did our dog. On the drizzly days we ventured up to the Luxulyan Valley following the footpath by the railway crossing near the cottage. We also walked to Par beach along the cycle trail, then along the Coastal pRead moreath to Polkerris beach. We used the cottage as a base to explore the Roseland Peninsula and enjoyed St Anthony's Head, Thirstea Cofe and Towan beach Hide

The garden is lovely, house spotless & well appointed. If you're not good with steep stairs, this cottage might not be for you! No welcome pack (except what previous visitors have left.) WiFi more miss than hit. Netflix on tele wouldn't load & tele reception interesting. We could not alter heating settings, so unless we lit a fire, found the cottagRead moree to be chilly at times. Close to main A390, so excellent to get to attractions. Good local Indian takeaway/restaurant. Hide

Second year we have stayed at Violet Cottage. The first year was fantastic. This year it was even better, with the new extra touches. The new walk in shower/ wet room was fab..and the new doors and windows are a nice touch. Will be back again next year or possibly the year after. Thanks again 5***** for everything
