A characterful manor house enjoying panoramic country views just 9 miles from Bude, one of the South West’s most popular seaside resorts. Perfect for a relaxing holiday with family or friends, the dog-friendly house features spacious living areas, a large lawned garden and easy access to beaches, coastal villages and walking trails crisscrossing the Devon and Cornwall border.

The two-storey manor house dates back to the 1820s and has lost none of its original charm. Each room boasts a soothing colour palette, with original features blending seamlessly with stylish soft furnishings across hard and carpeted flooring. A pretty porch with original flagstones leads into the spacious hallway, off which you’ll find an impressive lounge with high ceilings where comfortable sofas have been arranged around the wood burner, with French doors at one end leading out into the garden. A large dining room stands opposite the lounge, with a wood burner and a set of French doors that flood it with light. The kitchen has contemporary country looks and a breakfast bar, with plenty of room for foodies to work their magic. A handy utility room stands to the side. A spacious king-size bedroom with a feature fireplace is tucked away at the rear of the house, with a shower room close by. The original staircase leads up to the first floor and the final three bedrooms, all of which feature light and fresh decor and enjoy stunning country views. There are two twin bedrooms; a spacious king-size bedroom with a magnificent bay window and window seat; and a king-size bedroom with dual aspect windows and a feature fireplace. A plush family bathroom rounds the interior off in style. The enclosed garden features a patio with furniture overlooking a lawned area with plenty of room for children and dogs to zoom about.

Tamar Lake (5 miles) is beloved by walkers and water sports lovers. The cottage is only 6 miles from the South West Coast Path, along which you’ll find Bude and Clovelly (within 10.5 miles) two of the South West’s most popular coastal destinations.

Really lovely holiday cottage (ideal for me as the booker - love quiet hidden gems), some family members struggled with location - not liking it being so secluded and the lanes were very uneven (next time I'll have a Landy!). Very clean and comfortable.

The Manor was a lovely relaxing place to stay with our dogs. It was very clean, spacious and well equipped. The garden was very large and was truly enclosed, (many places that say dog friendly are not always dog safe!) this gave peace of mind when letting the dogs out. Lovely big spacious house. Huge garden. No one around so very private. Had everything we needed. Clean and tidy. Big bedrooms. Loved it all. Chris very quick to respond to questions etc. A wonderful holiday and i would definitely recommend this place .

The manor was beautiful and so spacious for our family of 9 including my 4 yr old grandson and 4 dogs . Beautifully clean with everything we needed for our weeks holiday . The lanes running down to the property had several potholes which may be difficult for small cars . We had a large family gathering at The Manor and the house was perfect with good sized rooms and plenty of space for all plus two dogs. The little ones loved the garden and games and walking up the farm track to see the animals. The owner was very friendly and helpful and we would highly recommend this property for a relaxing family holiday.

Myself and all my in law family had an amazing time. We had 4 dogs with us and a toddler. Everyone had a great time especially toddler not wanting to come home from holiday. Garden was a great size. House was so fresh, clean and spacious giving us all the space we needed. Owners were so good at replying quickly with questions I had in regards to waRead morenting to go a local walk without driving they sent directions straight away. Beds were so comfortable also. Absolutely fantastic place, owners were outstanding during our stay and even helped us to find a watch we had misplaced and left behind only to locate it for us and drive over 10 miles to hand it to us in person. Truly amazing service, couldnt fault the house in anyway and will definitely return ! Book it now !

Great stay here in October half term. There were 10 of us but we still had more than enough space. Road is a little bumpy but it is well worth it. Would definitely recommend it and will hopefully get to stay there again.

The property was even better than expected, 5*s for everything. Plenty of parking, beautifully decorated and maintained. All rooms were very spacious. White goods were top range. Plenty of TVs. The heating was excellent and the log basket greatly appreciated. The beds were very comfortable. I booked it for family and friends for a special birthdRead moreay celebration and it was the ideal setting for this. The huge dining room table coped with a wonderful buffet superbly, and the beautiful lounge was perfect for mingling. Ideal property for dogs with the large outside area and I would image children would have a lovely time in the large grassy area. I could not have chosen better.

Fabulous house and garden which accommodated our family really well. Very big rooms, we never felt on top of each other. Spotlessly clean and owner very accommodating. Ideally such a fabulous house could do with another shower, however, we did feel that overall it was a small compromise to make as everything else was just perfect.

A stunning, beautifully restored home set in the the quiet countryside with far reaching views of the Cornish landscape. We had the pleasure of staying over half term and couldnt have found a more perfect place for my family to stay. Absolutely gorgeous. Will definitely come back.

This was such a lovely house! Beautiful inside and out! It was plenty big enough for 8 adults, 1 teen and 3 dogs. We felt like we all had so much room and werent on top of each other. We all enjoyed our stay and had a lovely time. Communication was great and we had no issues with our stay.

Fantastic spacious house on a working farm. Had a wonderful week here in this warm manor. Lovely family Chris and Shelley who were there if we needed anything. Will return next year!
