Overlooking the sandy beach in the small village of Portreath, families/friends will enjoy spending time together in this coastal retreat. With the beach and South West Coast Path on your doorstep, you can choose between building sandcastles, surfing the waves or walking along the clifftops. Portreath is a popular resort with a range of shops/eateries, but is a quieter alternative to other coastal towns/villages. After a day exploring, return home for a game of pool or a drink on the terrace against the picturesque backdrop.
Beautifully presented with high-quality, classic furniture and décor, this property is stylish throughout. Its reverse-level layout means the living area is on the first floor, with a well-equipped kitchen, a cosy lounge with wood burner and a lovely dining area. The conservatory has far-reaching sea views – the ideal place for a coffee. On the mezzanine, you’ll find a games room and heading up again, you’ll find the master bedroom with a super-king size sleigh bed and a very spacious shower room, dressing room and walk-in wardrobe. The other bedrooms are on the ground floor with the family bathroom. Outside, the terrace makes a wonderful place for a BBQ.
Looking further afield than the village itself, you could walk south to Bassets Cove (5 miles) or north to Porthtowan (8 miles), stopping to admire the flora, fauna and views along the way. Other popular towns/villages on the north coast are St Agnes (8 miles), St Ives and Perranporth (both within 17 miles) which all have beautiful beaches and independent shops/galleries. Falmouth on the south coast (14.5 miles) is also worth a visit, as is Tehidy Country Park (3.5 miles) with its woodland walks and cycle trails.
