Overlooking the sandy beach in the small village of Portreath, families/friends will enjoy spending time together in this coastal retreat. With the beach and South West Coast Path on your doorstep, you can choose between building sandcastles, surfing the waves or walking along the clifftops. Portreath is a popular resort with a range of shops/eateries, but is a quieter alternative to other coastal towns/villages. After a day exploring, return home for a game of pool or a drink on the terrace against the picturesque backdrop.

Beautifully presented with high-quality, classic furniture and décor, this property is stylish throughout. Its reverse-level layout means the living area is on the first floor, with a well-equipped kitchen, a cosy lounge with wood burner and a lovely dining area. The conservatory has far-reaching sea views – the ideal place for a coffee. On the mezzanine, you’ll find a games room and heading up again, you’ll find the master bedroom with a super-king size sleigh bed and a very spacious shower room, dressing room and walk-in wardrobe. The other bedrooms are on the ground floor with the family bathroom. Outside, the terrace makes a wonderful place for a BBQ.

Looking further afield than the village itself, you could walk south to Bassets Cove (5 miles) or north to Porthtowan (8 miles), stopping to admire the flora, fauna and views along the way. Other popular towns/villages on the north coast are St Agnes (8 miles), St Ives and Perranporth (both within 17 miles) which all have beautiful beaches and independent shops/galleries. Falmouth on the south coast (14.5 miles) is also worth a visit, as is Tehidy Country Park (3.5 miles) with its woodland walks and cycle trails.

  • 4 bedrooms - 1 super-king-size, 1 super-king-size zip-and-link (can be made up as a twin on request) and 2 king-size
  • 2 bathrooms - 1 en-suite shower room and 1 bathroom
  • Electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave oven, washing machine
  • Wood burner (first bag of logs included)
  • Welcome pack on arrival
  • Travel cot and highchair available

  • Off road parking for 1 car in front of the property, another medium sized car can be parked in the garage on request - additional free parking can be found on Tregea Hill on a first come first served basis

We had a great family week here! The house is exactly as stated on the website. The location and sea views are fantastic. Parking shared with the annex property, which is fine as long as one car parks right next to the wall and neither of you needs to fully open the driver door to get in/out. There is plenty of room to temporarily stop to load/unloRead moread and open doors fully. But dont take too long doing this as the owner of the other property on the shared driveway may get a bit confrontational! Hide

Tregoose is a lovely house, with plenty of living space and views over the beach. The comfy sofas and ample seating areas gave us a range of places to relax. Best for views and location in Portreath. Large multi floor, open plan property overlooking the beach and harbour. We are returning holidaymakers to this property but it's not what it was. Needs a complete refurb, looking dated and fixtures starting to wear out or were missing. Cleanliness was hit and miss. Agent was helpful in getting issues sorteRead mored. Parking is dire, only one space but use the garage for added parking. EV charger a bonus though! Won't return until it's fully refurbished. Hide

We had a lovely family holiday at Tregoose, very relaxed, the house is lovely and the location, views are outstanding. Lots of local amenities. I would definately recommend to my friends. We stayed in the winter, but the conservatory and the views from the house meant we could enjoy Cornwall at its best from the comfort and warmth of the house!!!

We had a wonderful time at this stunning large three story beach house in Portreath in November 2022. Definitely the best bed we've ever encountered on a rental stay and the overall fixtures, fittings and furniture are of a very high standard. Location is superb and the cottage has everything you need for a comfortable break. Views are superb. Space is amazing. Were both tall and the bed was especially comfortable. Parking is perfect, off road and adjacent to property. Portreath has all you need including a fantastic fish and chip shop along with all the amenities you would expect.

Change of linen and towels on 2 week stay would be normal. Cobwebs etc at high level - mainly in conservatory. Beds comfortable, sofas not so. Hot water runs out when six people shower. More 4 star than 5 star
