Stayed a few different times over the years and we love it! Amazing views, lovely peaceful location and we love the cosy space upstairs to watch tv together. We love being able to eat out on the wonderful patio looking out over the water and to Fowey. We will definitely return!

A brilliant 'cottage' with amazing views from the top storey. Polruan is also lovely and a short ferry trip from Fowey, which is more lively. The only slight warning would be to anyone with mobility issues. Polruan is very hilly! For anyone else, we would definitely recommend the village and Chapel Retreat.

Location, Location, Location. This property is all about the balcony. The weather was in our favour and the views were stupendous. Polruan is down some very, very narrow lanes. You will struggle to park in the shared garage with anything bigger than a medium sized car as the spots are tight. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds were clean. The topRead more floor lounge is very comfortable. The shower could do with some maintenance. Fowey is easily accessed by ferry. Overall we would stay there again. Hide

Very pleasantly surprised at the fresh bright decor and cosy feel to the cottage. Views were lovely and the children loved the attic room with tv and balcony. Our bed was very very comfortable.

The cottage layout was lovely and spacious for 4 adults with a baby and 2 dogs. The view from the master bedroom and the loft lounge were delightful. The provision of a parking space was definitely useful. Some elements of cleanliness could have been better (several large cobwebs and the plug hole to the spa bath would not work until it was uncloggRead moreed). A lack of toilet roll. There were only 2 bin bags instead of the stated 5. Bins were not collected at all and were full from previous occupants. Hide

Really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely picturesque location, roads steep, car space challenging but do-able. Property more than adequate with fabulous views from the balcony, great walks all around and pleasant little daily trips on the ferry to Fowey, however, quite expensive as we did this round trip twice in one day, but we didnt want to be drivinRead moreg everywhere so probably saved on parking and fuel. Might be worth researching if you can get reductions as visitors. Would return Hide

Great property - amazing views with everything that we needed. Do heed the comments about parking space. Whilst it is a bonus to have, anything longer than a Golf or Focus could be a squeeze.

The property was very comfortable with fabulous views over the river. We enjoyed staying in the nearly carless village even if every walk was steeply up or downhill. The convenience store and bakery were very handy as was the regular ferry over to Fowey. We couldnt get our 4x4 in the garage space with the other cars parked in their spaces but paid 30 for the carpark. Hide

Lovely property with fantastic views from patio and main bedroom. Very cosy sitting area and well equipped kitchen with everything needed for an enjoyable weeks holiday. This is a great location in Polruan with fabulous views from the second and third floors. The parking spot is a real bonus. The house was very clean and well-equipped. Highly recommend (we can't wait to return).
