Less than 10 miles to the spectacular northern coast, it's the perfect place for walks and hikes into the tors of the moor or exploring picturesque coastal towns. Relax and unwind while discovering the most striking landscapes that Cornwall has to offer. Take the dog and your partner for an adventure in the heart of the South West.

The warm and homely atmosphere makes this a delightful retreat for two, plus your canine companion who is welcome at this dog-friendly property. Gather round the hearth for a toasty evening together curled up on the sofa or share a traditional cream tea at the farmhouse-style table. Pick a book and a sunny spot in the garden where you can unwind by the pond, littered with lily pads.

Bodmin Moor is on your doorstep where you can find Carnglaze Caverns (11 miles) and Golitha Falls (14 miles). Port Isaac is less than 10 miles from this cottage and is a picturesque fishing village with delightful cafes and shops to wander. If you wish to venture further, take a trip up to the medieval Tintagel Castle on Tintagel Island (14 miles). Further still along the coast, you'll find the wide sandy beach of Daymer Bay (15 miles) and Pentire Headland Walk (14 miles), both great place to take in the beauty of the Cornwall Coast. The Eden Project is 18 miles away.

  • 1 dog allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week

Brilliant cottage. The grounds are lovely and it's the perfect place for a couple or single person with a dog. I've been back with my dog every year since 2016 ( except the covid year 2020)

Clean, well equipped and cosy. Very comfortable, a home from home. Our dog was made very welcome too. Amazing location, gardens and grounds were beautiful and we appreciated having access to them, lovely views from the many benches dotted around. Jackie & George are great hosts and the cottage is home from home. This is our third stay and we had only booked for 1 week but a 2nd week became available the week before so we booked an additional week. The cottage was amazing, beautifully equipped, every need was catered for. It was comfortable, warm and peaceful, we felt really at home. The log burner provided a lovely glow and warmth on chilly evenings. Our hosts Jackie and George were enormously hospitable, friendly and kind!

From the day we arrived, to the day we left, we had an amazing experience. The cottage was more than we expected. Cosy, warm and wanting for nothing. What can we say other than amazing! Owners of bolts quarry farm (where the cottage is situated) are so lovely and welcoming. Couldn't do enough for us but without being intrusive. Cottage is spotless and location is beautiful. Very relaxing which is exactly what we needed. Within half an hour from a number of coastal beauty spots but the farm itselRead moref is something special if you don't want to go out. This well appointed cottage is situated in lovely gardens complete with secluded picnic spots & fabulous views. Jackie and George are lovely approachable hosts who are very helpful. The cottage is well situated (St Breward) for exploring N' & S' Cornish coasts & the moors. 30min will see you in places like Tintagel/Bodmin/Port Isaac (Port Wehn of DRead morer Martin fame)/Boscastle. "The Old Inn" (local pub' in St Breward) does great food with very generous portions, & has a good selection of real ales. Hide

Lovely hosts. Caring and considerate. Beautiful location, high up and just off the moor. Good TV and Wi-Fi Local pub in St Breward is popular and well-used, and does OK pub food. What a wonderful week we just had staying here! Jackie and George are perfect hosts and the cottage is very comfortable. It's well equipped with everything you need, an ensuite shower room, juliet balcony from the bedroom with views across the county, good parking spot right outside, freezer compartment. You will have to drive down narrow lanes to Read moreget anywhere but that normal for Cornwall and we had no problems. It was a shame we only had a week there as 2 or 3 would have been great! Hide

This is a beautiful cottage set in really lovely grounds. I've been going every year since 2016, except 2020 due to covid. It's a lovely start to every day with a gentle walk around the grounds with my labrador, and a friendly chat with Jackie and George whenever you bump into them. It's definitely one of my happy places.
