  • Large patio area to the rear of the property, perfect for al fresco dining
Property code: PC060

Larger families and groups looking for a truly impressive and perfectly positioned holiday home in charming Polruan can call off the search! This cottage property is spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, with delightful details, fantastic river views, and a sun-trap patio for sundowners – just relax and slip into South Cornish holiday mode. Located on the Polperro Heritage Coast section of the South West Coast Path, fabulous walks with coastal scenery start from your door.

The stand-out feature of this property is the large open-plan living/dining room with big windows at both ends, lots of comfy sofa space for family evenings, an unusually large wood burner, and maritime artworks. The interior is dressed in a subtle and muted paint palette with classic British fabrics. Solid wood furniture and simple white walls fit well inside these old stone walls, but that's the only old-fashioned thing about it - the fit-out is thoroughly up-to-date with everything you'll need for a happy holiday.

From your door on the quiet, narrow street, head down-river 100 metres to Polruan's riverfront amenities, including a pub and shop. Nip across to Fowey on the ferry for shops, pubs and restaurants, with art galleries and, a half-mile walk away, Readymoney Cove's sheltered sandy beach. Choose walks around the harbour for nature and tranquillity, or along the coast path for dramatic views of cliffs and coves. Drive 18 miles to Charlestown Harbour to encounter real sailing ships or 16 miles to St Austell for even wider shopping choices, and a tour of the famous brewery.

The cottage, was ok & well equipped, the bedroom on the first floor at the front was not comfortable at all, IMO needs a new mattress , it actually made my back hurt.

This cottage was absolutely perfect for our family get together. The first time in Polruan since we sold our own holiday cottage.

Thank you so much. The cottage was magical. We loved it. We are all musicians and we listened to the music of the previous owner. I stay in Cornwall a lot and this time around, really missing it because the house was so lovely.
