Modern, understated glamour are just some of the words you could use to describe this splendid refurbished property, situated perfectly in the heart of the quaint fishing village of Polruan. Named by The Telegraph as one of their ‘Best Holiday Cottages in Cornwall of 2017' this gorgeous house would not fail to impress even the hardest-to-please holidaymaker on all levels; from the high-end fixtures and fittings in the kitchen and bathrooms to the picture-perfect sweeping views of the Fowey Estuary that can be enjoyed here.

Sleeping up to eight guests in four stunning bedrooms, it's the special little touches and attention to detail that make all the difference: two ovens and a Nespresso machine in the kitchen make catering a doddle and the fast Wi-Fi and Blu-ray DVD player (along with an impressive selection of DVDs) will keep the technology fans more than happy. The house itself is spacious, airy and comfortable. Modern yet retaining plenty of character, making every aspect of your holiday experience an authentically Cornish one.

Polruan itself is the perfect base from which to explore everything Cornwall has to offer. The busy fishing port of Fowey can be reached by hopping aboard the passenger ferry which regularly runs to and from both locations, here you can enjoy an eclectic range of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. Par Sands beach is a 7-mile drive away and forms part of the stunning selection of beaches also known as the ‘Cornish Riviera'.

Well appointed. Clean and comfy. Reasonably close to car park but it is a steep path and around 20 steps too. Path down to quayside is similarly steep but only 5 minutes. Even the stairs in the house are on the steep side. The views are fabulous and the outside terraces are great with masses of seating. In all it is a splendid property.

Fantastic location and views. Well equipped kitchen. Clean house. Basic items provided. Eco heating and hot water. The stairs are very steep and beds not very comfortable. Overall a good house but a little overpriced.

Lovely stay at Providence House. Facilities very good and kitchen facilities excellent, everything you need for a enjoyable stay. Few small issues which have been relayed over, particularly to the bed pillows. Understand its a preference but we all found they were too soft we suffered from stiff necks. The house was immaculate, the views were stunning, we all had a magnificent time. Every part of the house was beautifully finished to a very high spec. Really loved that it's very eco, the solar panels and the system tracing the input and output of the eletic was a topic of conversation throuout the whole holiday. My husband and I stayed in the lofRead moret room and the En suit was beautiful. There are a lot of steps but you're staying in a very hilly place and worth it for the views. 10/10 Hide

We could find no faults with the cottage and all agreed it was the best cottage the clan McNeill had stayed in over the past 16 years. We have been taking family holidays in Cornwall and Devon each summer half term.
