Complete with seaside-themed decor and stunning views over the harbour, this property has everything you could need for a coastal escape in Cornwall. Less than a quatre-mile from a local pub, there's no need to cook if you don't want to, plus you're well-positioned with links to the wider Cornwall coast via the A390 if you want to venture further afield.

As soon as you step into the bright and airy interior, you'll feel that refreshing holiday feeling wash over you. The cottage is reverse-level, so you'll climb an open staircase to the open-plan living area with a spectacular view of the river across Polruan. Snuggle up in front of the TV on the comfy sofa after a long day, or take a seat out on the terrace on sunny afternoons: perfect for a glass of wine before sunset.

Polruan is a fantastic place to stay for a quiet retreat, and if you feel like branching out, the passenger ferry departs from The Quay just 200 metres from your door to whisk you across the river to Fowey. You'll find further shops and eateries in Fowey, as well as an aquarium for a great family day out. You could also take a walk along the stunning South West Coast Path from here to Readymoney Cove, for some outstanding views within 1 mile. Further afield, the Eden Project (16 miles) is a must-see, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan (25 miles) is great for children and adults alike.

The cottage is beautiful and in a gorgeous location with views over the harbour. There are quite a few steps up to the cottage and also a very steep hill back to the car park so if you struggle with walking then you would find this difficult. We loved it and would definitely return.

The view was the best bit about the cottage - the sunset was amazing! The cottage is really close to the pub, although Saturday night is not recommended, even with a booking, and close to the ferry across to Fowey, where you can get the ferry to Mevagissey - like others, we saw dolphins! Accessibility is definitely not for the fainted hearted - we Read morecertainly felt fitter at the end of our week! It's a lovely and nice equipped cottage with a great view over the harbour and for sunsets. With hiking, swimming and kayaking we had great activities. We also enjoyed the various beaches and a ferry trip to Mevagissey and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A wonderful position, the views of Fowey and the river are spectacular. Perfectly situated near the Quay for the ferry to Fowey and the path to Hall Walk towards Bodinnick. Coastal walks to Polperro and across the river to Polkerris. The stunning beach at Lantic Bay is worth the walk. Newly decorated cottage with great view across to Fowey. As warned in the advert there are steep steps to access and parking is up a steep hill at the top of town. There are limited eating options in Polruan but many across in Fowey. Would best suit fit people.
