What a place - loved it, quirky but very interesting. If you like modernity and the norm then not the place for you. However, if you like history and a sense of a house's past then this is the place to stay. Lots of original features and period furniture - a great history file to read. The garden is a true hidden gem, mature and lots to explore, agRead moreain not manicured. Great location (shipyard is a working shipyard, 5 days a week, but an interesting view watching them work). Had a lovely week in Cornwall staying in this property. Cosy cottage with lots of character, beautiful surroundings, 2 good pubs nearby and only a short ferry crossing to Fowey, a town bustling with atmosphere and activities. Highly recommended!

Lovely character cottage in pretty village. Boatyard to front so early noise. Very steep access to garden which is overgrown and needs work. Village is very steep to car park so some may struggle. Lovely spot for relaxing and sightseeing.

Lovely, spacious old cottage for 4 plus our dog. Bit dusty round the edges but otherwise clean and oodles of character and charm. Comfortable and we liked the tiered garden with stunning view, all a bit too overgrown to really spend much time in, but very romantic. In a fantastic location by harbour, super view, right by small shop, tea room, 2 pubRead mores, gift & ice cream shop and foot passenger ferry to Fowey. But no parking, which is at top of hill. Polruan is a lovely village. Hide

This cottage is ideally situated for the quey . The interior is quite period, and dark. The garden is a hidden gem though the stairs are steep, but the views are wonderful.

Beautiful, quirky cottage, with a an interesting secret-garden-type outdoor space, in an outstanding location. We loved the ambience of this home; the original and artistic features, and found all fixtures to be pleasant and comfortable. The rooms could be cold when the temperature dropped, but the many portable heaters ensured much warmth. The locRead moreal pubs were fab, the local people friendly and helpful, and the locality offered much outdoor recreation and exploration. We'd definitely return! Hide
