As the sun begins to rise, throw open the French doors and step out onto the glass-fronted balcony, making the most of the peace and tranquillity that this sought-after location affords. Guests who stay at 8 Ocean View can look forward to contemporary and spacious living with a host of luxurious touches throughout.

Whether settling in for a film night in the large lounge complete with stunning views of the coast, whipping up a family feast in the gorgeous open-plan kitchen and dining area, or pulling open the bi-folding doors into the garden and enjoying a glass of something chilled in the outdoor living area, you'll find this home-from-home so relaxing that you won't ever want to leave!

Half a mile down the hill is Polruans' charming Quay, along with two golden beaches and friendly village pubs. If you fancy exploring further, the historic town of Charlestown is under 20 miles, as is The Eden Project and Siblyback Lake on Bodmin Moor where you can try your hand at a variety of watersports, or travel 3 miles further to the Bronze Age stone circles known as The Hurlers in the Cornish village of Minions.

  • For insurance purposes any additional daytime guests must be checked and confirmed with the owner
  • Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via steps some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements.
  • Access to the village is via are many small winding county roads.
  • 15-20 min steady walk done the hill to the harbour
  • 2 hourly bus up and down the hill (not running on weekends or bank holidays)
  • Arrival: 18:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £350 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £40. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

There was everything we needed and more in the house. Amazing view from the front windows, close to the coast path & easy to get the boat to Fowey.

Fabulous holiday with space for us and all three children and their partners/friends. Best equipped kitchen I've experienced in a holiday home. Lots of games to entertain the family. Beautiful location with close proximity to the coast path. Fowey and Lantic Bay made for great days out.

A very comfortable and fantastically equipped house with amazing views. Very easy to walk down into Polruan to take the foot ferry to Fowey but remember there is a steep climb back up!

Lovely house, very comfortable and with all facilities you need, very steep hill down to the pub which was very nice a friendly too.

Great family house with lots of facilities. Lovely views just make sure you have your walking boots as its a bit of a climb back from the pub.

A lovely comfortable house with good views. The room configuration is good & suited our family, the grandchildren enjoyed playing with the toys, a nice touch. Although the property was clean, some tiles & the sink are cracked in the main ensuite. The property is located at the top of the village and therefore a challenge getting down to the quay buRead moret the pub serves good food. A wonderful home from home. Had every thing you need for cooking, dining, playing games and socialising. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with our grown up children and partners. Plenty of things for children tucked away too. Beautiful views. Amazing how quickly we got used to getting a ferry ride to Fowey the relaxed pace of life was lovely.

A good sized house in a nice spot. Nicely decorated and well equipped with a selection of kitchen gadgets, games, wi-fi etc... The house was very clean and maintained to a high standard. We have just returned from our second stay here and it was fabulous. There are loads of places to visit all around and the little car ferry is a joy. The farm shop in Fowey sells the best sausages my husband and I have ever eaten; they are DELICIOUS!! Amazing house and location. Lovely story behind it which adds to the homely feel. You do not need to bring lots of extras, its catered for everything, especially in the kitchen. Plenty of room for a party of 7 and just the 2 of us at times, which was luxury. Highly recommended.

The house was excellent- very well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. The views from the property are amazing and the village is very pretty. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend it.
