Walking the alpacas, playing tennis on the full-size courts, and going for a ride on the resident ponies, are just some of the on-site activities available to guests staying at Meadow Cottage and at its five sister properties. The cottage itself is an attractively converted former milking parlour, offering an excellent range of equipment, and thoughtfully added home comforts such as a Smart TV and warming wood burner.
Set within a 16th-century farm complex, Meadow Cottage is a period building which has been given a sympathetic update by the thoughtful owners. Relax in the lounge under the exposed beams or throw open the French windows and take your drinks out onto the private patio. Around the farm, there are plenty of shared facilities to amuse guests of all ages, including a well-stocked games barn, sandpits, a pets' corner with pigs, chickens, and lambs, and an excellent fishing lake.
Meadow Cottage is a true country idyll and with so much to see and do on the farm, guests often find it hard to leave. Those who do venture out for day trips will be spoilt for choice, with the seaside town of Bude, lying 12 miles away and offering a fantastic sandy beach and a splendid tidal pool. The atmospheric town of King Arthur's Tintagel lies 10 miles to the west, whilst the picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac, a further 10 miles down the coast, will be recognisable to many visitors as the location for the TV series Doc Martin.
