Wrapped in Cornish countryside and only 6 miles from the golden sands of Polzeath beach, Jobes Cottage sits unassumingly within an acre of land. Period features, friendly furry and feathered residents and simple, comfortable decor are what give this property it's homespun charm. After a day exploring Port Isaac, it's only a 5-mile drive back to base, where cream tea on the patio beckons.

The traditional stone exterior is mirrored inside by a large ornamental fireplace, tying in with slate floors and painted beams to give a rustic farmhouse feel. Snug, homely and thoughtfully furnished, this is a space made for happy holidays. Delight in views of sunny Cornish hills from the well-equipped kitchen, while you prepare hearty suppers or picnics for days on the beach. Kids will love running around in the large enclosed garden and meeting the owner's resident pets.

Only 11 miles away you can discover the legend of King Arthur, with a trip to Tintagel Castle. Get stuck into water sports in Rock (5 miles away) or take the ferry from here over to Padstow, where culinary delights await from fish and chips to fine dining. It's only 6 miles to the golden sands of Polzeath beach, for sandcastles, surf, and all things seaside. For the adventurous among you, surf lessons are available here, or take a 10-mile drive from your holiday home to the Camel Creek Adventure Park, for a fun-filled family day out.

We had a very relaxed holiday at Jobes Cottage, the host's were welcoming, friendly, but not intrusive, but we always knew they were available on site if we had a problem. Basically we couldn't fault the description in the brochure !!

We really loved this cottage, the helpful but unobtrusive owners - and their dear little dogs especially Bonny - who, judging from the visitor book, is universally loved by all. The cottage is aged and full of character. There was everything we could possibly need. It was spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds, and, most important - a television Read moreand heating system we found instantly understandable! The bird feeders kept us entertained each evening, on the sheltered patio, with of course. Hide
