Perfect for large family gatherings, the lavish dining area provides the perfect setting for a celebratory meal with a backdrop of Cornish countryside through the French doors. Swing these doors open and step out onto the balcony for a sundowner as the day draws to an end.

 

For those seeking a great shopping experience, head to the cathedral city of Truro (24 miles), while beach lovers are sure to love the sweeping stretches of sand at Rock (7 miles) and Polzeath (8 miles). Follow in the footsteps of Doc Martin and visit the traditional fishing village of Port Isaac (10 miles) where the TV series was filmed for its picturesque winding streets lined with whitewashed cottages, or sample some freshly caught fish at one of the seafood restaurants in Padstow (8 miles).

We have had a great week at the Hawthorns! We were an extended family of 8 ranging in age from 21 months to 57 years plus 2 dogs. The house has a brilliant layout with all bar 1 room being en-suite. Rooms are spacious & comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of games, toys etc for the children, hot tub & bar for the adults, lots of outdoor seatRead moreing, & small grassed area for the dogs & plenty of parking for 3 cars. We had a very comfortable stay. The beds and bathrooms were all superb. The hot tub was used every day and lived up to expectations. The lounge areas were spacious. A tumble drier would have been welcome with four small children and damp weather. I would thoroughly recommend for a family group. Lovely property, plenty of room for all of us, 3 sets of same family. Outside bar a great success with both adults and kids! Kitchen really well equipped, our son did lots of cooking both on the bbq and in the kitchen. Would definitely recommend!

Overall a ood holiday home. Sofas could be replaced and garden very weedy and overgrown and took off the edge of sitting outside.

This property excused our expectations. Very clean loads of amenities. The price was 100% resealable for when I went was just out of season does get pretty price in season. Would happily go back and stay again.
