Southwest of Newquay, near a sandy bay, sits the precious village of Cubert and that's where you'll find this hideaway. Country and coast join together in this wonderful retreat. There's enough room for four people to stay and canines are welcome so the whole family can escape on a Cornwall holiday. Walk around the corner to test your skills at Holywell Bay Golf Club, play at the Fun Park, head into the town centre and finally arrive at the glistening beach.
Nautical touches add interest to the stylish white-washed property. Take a step through the French doors and out into the decking to dine beneath a blue sky on a dish of scallops and white wine. The dog can scamper around the garden or on the local National Trust land, discovering new delights and trails left by countryside wildlife.
The sweeping bay of Holywell and unspoilt cove of Porth Joke are both less than three miles and can be reached via a peaceful stroll across common land. Surfing is encouraged amongst the rough waves that roll in off the Atlantic although you're equally welcome to sit back on the sand or sip a coffee in the local tearoom. Excellent attractions like Newquay's aquarium, zoo and blue flag beaches are a huge draw for the area so don't miss out on this treasure-trove of experiences. For that all-important day trip the Eden Project is 27 miles away on the southern coast.
