Close to the sandy shores of Bude, Crescent Cottage offers a charming break for families who want to experience the best of Cornwall. Whether toasting marshmallows on the open fire inside or soaking up the Cornish sun in the courtyard, everyone is sure to feel right at home.
Crescent Cottage is all about good old-fashioned family fun. During the day the interiors are light and airy, dotted with trinkets and traditional features. Lunch is served in the dining room where on a balmy day, the French doors can be opened into the enclosed courtyard to let in a refreshing sea breeze. But as the sun begins to set, evenings are best spent gathered around the crackling open fire for board games and homemade hot chocolate.
Bude is in a brilliant part of Cornwall for reaching attractions, spectacular landscapes and heritage sites. The South West Coast Path runs along Bude's rugged coastline, so there's plenty of opportunities for picturesque walks. A journey of 17 miles will bring you into the quaint fishing village of Clovelly in Devon, famous for its steep cobbled streets where donkeys and sledges are the only form of transport. Alternatively, travel down south for 14.5 miles to Boscastle with its 700-foot cliffs and Tintagel, which is rich in legends and history.
