Part of a peaceful courtyard community of holiday huts, this south-facing cottage is less than a mile from the Cornwall coast. The cove contains a small sheltered harbour that protects the fishing boats that dock there, sandy patches of beach and a great cave to explore at low tide. A delightful base for exploring the sandy coastline Lizard Peninsula.

Snuggle into the sofas with a good book or perch outside on the patio to watch the sunrise and the sky turn blue. The interior of this bungalow has been decorated in a calming neutral palette, allowing a soothing atmosphere to flood the house and provide that holiday feeling. Pour yourself a fresh glass of orange juice and join the family for a full-English while you lay out your plans for the day.

A clifftop walk runs past the cove and extends for miles in either direction. Head south, down to the turquoise waters of pretty Kynance Cove (8 miles) or gaze out to sea from the most southerly spot of mainland Britain: Lizards Point, 7 miles away. North of Mullion's Cove you can sink your feet into the soft white sand of Praa Sands (13 miles) or wander across the causeway to St Michaels Mount (18 miles).

The cottage was ideally situated for the coastal path and exactly what we had wanted. The village of Mullion is less than a mile away but not a great walk as parts of the route are without path along a very windy road.

Great location close to coastal path and Mullion Cove. Lovely 20/30 minute walk into village for amenities. Well stocked local Co-Op. Accommodation was good value, clean and welcoming. Flowers, chocs and milk was a pleasant welcome.

I stayed at the puffin with my partner and my 16 year old daughter and niece. It was home from home in the perfect location.

This is a well situated cottage near mullion cove and a short distance to Poldhu beach and the lizard. There is no 4G signal in the area so you will need to rely on the WiFi for any communication. The beds are soft but the cottages size and facilities are satisfactory for a short stay.
