Rural seclusion and peacefulness are the order of the day when you stay at Rivington, a lovely single-storey, detached cottage near the seaside resort of Carbis Bay. The private retreat is ideal for couple and families who long to escape the hustle and bustle and get away to explore the beautiful Cornish coast and country.

 

Beautifully furnished and decorated, Rivington is an attractive home-from-home. Bright and airy living spaces adorned with colourful artwork make for fantastic places to relax after a day exploring, while the delightful wood burner is a wonderfully welcome addition for a winter holiday. Enjoy views of the surrounding grounds from each room, with the double bedroom's doors opening straight out onto the lovely garden area.

 

Nearby, there are several wonderful beaches, as is the custom in the south of the county. You'll be 1 mile from Carbis Bay, its beautiful beach and amenities, while the beaches of Porthcurno, Sennen and Praa Sands (all under 20 miles) are all within driving distance. If you're keen to make the most of your location, there are plenty of things to do and places to visit. This includes the lovely harbour town of St Ives, 2 miles away, while the beautiful village of Marazion, home of St Michael's Mount, is 7.5 miles away.

Absolutely cracking both in terms of property and location, the perfect base for getting around Cornwall. Property is exceptionally nice (even if in need of a little TLC of places), well equipped, peaceful and the garden is a haven for bees. Couldnt be happier with the weeks rental and the owner cant do enough to ensure your stay is the best it canRead more be. This cottage was a comfortable and perfect base to explore Cornwall. It was clean, homely and comfortable. The enclosed garden was lovely and perfect for our dog. Lovely dog walks from the door including up to Knills monument where you could see both sides of the Cornish coast. Just back from a fabulous weekend in Cornwall. Rivington cottage was superb, perfect location, decorated to the highest standard and equipped with everything you might need. The owner was very helpful, a lovely touch leaving tea and coffee and wine as a welcome gesture, much appreciated after a 6 hour drive from the Midlands. A beautiful cottage at the end of a country lane with a shallow brook running alongside. The cottage had everything. It was spacious and comfortable to relax in the evenings. It was a convenient base for visiting lots of places of interest in this area of Cornwall. Amazing accommodation. Very clean, lovely garden and everything you could need. The reality even exceeded the expectation from photos. The location is great for exploring that part of Cornwall and the train into St Ives made a visit so easy. There is a supermarket only minutes away and the local pub was very friendly and the food great. The beach iRead mores lovely but I wish I knew that it was a steep walk down in places as I have a bad knee. Saying that, there is so many other beaches nearby. Hide

The most beautiful place I've ever stayed at, genuinely perfect and had everything I needed and more. Much bigger in real life than in pictures and the garden is unbelievable! The welcome bottle of wine and biscuits we're and nice touch and didn't last the first day! 10/10.

Hidden gem of a property. Quiet area. Nicely furnished. Comfortable and clean throughout. Well equipped. Established garden with mature plants a haven of peace and tranquility. Very well styled cottage. Everything you could think of was provided. The beds were very comfortable and it was great to have access to Sky and Netflix when the weather was bad. Pub and beach close by and easy to walk or get bus/train into St Ives. We would highly recommend staying here.

First class property sll round. Private and good for St Ives by bus- forget the car Map could be better and that path down to beach was fine for me but not for my wife,it is very steep and is a mile each way

The cottage is faultless inside and it has the most beautiful secluded gardens, This is our second year visiting. The cottage has everything you could wish for and more. It is a real home from home. We adored the pond and the barbecue in the gardens. Despite being very close to Carbis Bay you feel so away from it all.

We had a lovely stay as a family at Rivington. It was a lovely cottage with everything provided for a week away from home. We enjoyed the private outside space and my sons loved to feed the fish each day. The location was great for visits to carbis bay and St Ives and kept our fitness levels up on the uphill sections. We had a really great stay, this is a really comfortable and very well equipped property, with everything you could possibly need. Its in a quiet location with its own private garden yet only a few minutes walk from the main road with a regular bus service. We definitely recommend it and look forward to staying again.

Comfortable, well equipped and cosy cottage. Had everything we needed. It is in a residential location, but feels secluded. Carbis bay beach beautiful, but only made it there once as the journey on foot is almost vertical! Some buses to St ives which has lots of amenities... would recommend.

A perfect cottage for a family holiday with a two and a five year old. It is a really relaxing place to be and our boys loved feeding the fish in the pond in the garden. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped with a good sized fridge and freezer section. The washing machine with drying racks were also really useful! We will be back Im sure!

The cottage is in a great location, quiet and peaceful. Well presented, fully equipped and tastefully decorated. Worthy of note is the secluded sheltered garden, with access direct from the living area or the main bedroom.
