Surrounded by pretty rural scenery, this charming reverse-level barn conversion offers beautiful views, comfortable accommodation and an ideal location in the heart of the Cornish countryside. It's part of a complex of three delightful properties, with the popular cathedral city of Truro only 3 miles away. Both of Cornwall's coasts are within easy reach: the rugged northern coast is just 6 miles away, and the picturesque southern coast 15 miles.

 

This lovely cosy cottage is perfect for a couple looking to enjoy a romantic getaway. Beautifully and thoughtfully converted, and retaining some original features, this comfy, inviting and tranquil cottage offers an ideal space to snuggle up and relax in. Throw open the patio doors and step out onto the enclosed decking to enjoy your morning coffee in the sunshine or soak in the private hot tub overlooking the countryside. If clouds descend later on, tuck yourselves inside with the wood burner for a sleepy afternoon.

 

The vibrant city of Truro offers a great mix of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as historic attractions including the impressive cathedral. The popular surfing resort of Newquay is just 11 miles away, famous for its five fantastic beaches. Just down the coast from Newquay are the beautiful seaside towns of Perranporth (5 miles) and St Agnes (4 miles). Local days out include the Lost Gardens of Heligan (16 miles), St Michael's Mount (24 miles) and the enormous indoor rainforest at The Eden Project (26 miles).

I recently stayed at this beautiful cottage near Truro and can honestly say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly welcome. Waiting for me was a freshly baked cake, along with chocolate and fresh milk a thoughtful touch that immediately made the cottage feel like a home rather than just holiday accommodatiRead moreon. The cottage itself is beautifully presented and enjoys stunning views across the Cornish countryside. One of my favourite features was the balcony, which provided the perfect place to relax with a drink in the evening while taking in the peaceful surroundings and watching the sun set over the landscape. As a keen walker exploring the South West Coast Path, the location was ideal. After a long day on the trails, returning to the cottage and sinking into the outdoor jet bath was an absolute luxury and a wonderful way to soothe tired legs. The combination of comfort, thoughtful hospitality, beautiful scenery and excellent access to the coast made for a truly memorable stay. I would not hesitate to return and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing Cornish escape. Five stars throughout. Hide

Comfortable cottage nice and quiet ideal location to leave the world behind. The decking is great feature where you can see the farm animals when they want to come and say hello especially when the weather is nice. Everything you would need was there no need to worry about anything we both enjoyed our stay

Your spacious and well located cottage played a big part in our lovely short break. The view from the balcony was lovely, and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped.

Our stay in the cottage was lovely. Our hosts were very welcoming and had the cottage ready and in a brilliant state. The location is perfect to get to all areas of Cornwall with most key attractions within a 30 minute drive in all directions. A beautiful location and hosts very helpful, but the cottage is in need of some tlc. Nothing was provided including basics like sugar, tea, coffee, dish soap, toilet and kitchen paper. The furniture is well used and uncomfortable.

We had booked a cottage through another company, when we arrived it was horrible, smelly dirty and not as described. We contacted Holiday Cottages to see if they could help, within 20 mins they had sorted us out a lovely place just a short distance away from the nightmare place we'd originally booked. The house was lovely, clean, tidy and in a beauRead moretiful location. When we got there we were greeted by the owner who was laid back but informative and made us feel very welcome. Thank you Hide

a super, cosy cottage in a very good position - feeling quiet and in the middle of nowhere, but very convenient for just about anything you'd need, in nearby Truro, and well placed to get to both north and south coasts. Owners very responsive to any query/issue.

The cottage was lovely nice and quiet away from any traffic but not too far from Truro if you need to go to a supermarket a quick drive away and most towns and visitor attractions within 50 miles

Sunflower Cottage is lovely. Perfectly situated for visiting Truro and the Cornish Coast.
