Looe Music Festival at night

Every September the Cornish fishing port of Looe gets hit with big music and manic entertainment as Looe Music Festival takes over the town.

The main stage is on the beach but music pops up throughout the streets and spills from venues all over the harbour. Now in its eighth year the award-winning live music event will once again charm performers and visitors from all around the world with a weekend filled with musical adventure.

Unique on the festival circuit, taking place in the heart of Looe’s picturesque fishing port, it boasts a stellar line-up including, punk rock legends The Stranglers, Scottish sensation The Waterboys, and Finnish barn-rock ambassadors Steve ‘n’ Seagulls. Plus The Quireboys, Mad Dog Mcrea, The Correspondents, Peatbog Faeries, Los Pacaminos featuring Paul Young, Estonian sensation Trad.Attack, the London African Gospel Choir, Molotov Jukebox, BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winners The Young Uns and The Eskies to name a few.

Committed to showcasing women in music, soul songstress PP Arnold, critically acclaimed Gwenno, country star Jill Jackson and Ivor Novello nominee Charlie Dore, also join the line-up alongside a whole host of female performers.  Whilst the festival’s resident BBC Music Introducing Stage, in partnership with BBC Radio Cornwall shines a light on the very best emerging talent from region.
