Things to do in Cornwall this Easter…

Easter is fast approaching, and with it the start of spring. There’s loads of eggcellent activities happening across the county this Easter. We’ve listed a few of our favourites below, and of course, if you're feeling brave enough for a swim in the sea, most beaches are patrolled by lifeguards from Easter onwards.

The Man Engine Resurrection Tour 31st March – 2nd April

Back in summer 2016, the largest mechanical puppet ever constructed in Britain steamed the length of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site. Awarded “Best Arts Project” by the National Lottery, he’s back! Find out more about where he will be and when here.

Porthleven Food Festival 20th – 22nd April

Celebrating its tenth year, Porthleven Food Festival attracts around 30,000 people to the stunning harbour town of Porthleven with national and international chef’s theatre, food stalls, street food, music day and night and entertainment for all. Our sister brand, Above Beach Cottages will have a stand so make you pop by and say hello!

Flambards 31st March – 8th April

Experience the all-new ‘Explosive Easter’ event at Flambards with a team of madcap scientists staging a series of explosive fun experiments in their indoor laboratory. On Sunday 1st April, Flambards foxy mascot Ferdi will also be leading the BIG Easter Egg Quiz Trail, find the clues dotted around the park, then hand in your quiz sheet for a yummy chocolate egg.

Lappa Valley 30th March – 2nd April

Pop along to Lappa Valley Steam Railway and enjoy a whole host of Easter themed activities including train rides with the Easter Bunny, colouring competitions and an Easter quiz trail where all children can WIN a chocolate egg.

Eden Project 24th March – 15th April

There’s dozens of activites for you and the kids at The Eden Project this Easter – go eggsploring on an egg hunt, take on a giant inflatable challenge, and find your way through the spring maze.

Paradise Park 30th March – 15th April

If there’s one place you are guaranteed to find plenty of eggs this Easter, it’s Paradise Park. Whether it is of the chocolate kind, or the spring hatchlings popping out! Bring the family and enjoy hunting around, spotting clues along the way - you might even spot some dinosaur eggs! Complete the trail, find the answers to the questions and claim your free mini egg treat.
