The city has so much to offer including the Hall for Cornwall theatre, markets, cinema, gardens and a great selection of both local and national shops.  You can take a boat trip down the Truro river to Falmouth or visit the wonderful National Trust Trelissick gardens.  

It's central location means that holidaying in a cottage in the city is a great idea if you want to visit the rest of Cornwall.  The world famous Eden Project is less than 20 miles away and Truro is only about an hours drive from the Lizard and Lands End.
