very happy for you to explore the farm to see the animals (cows, sheep,
ducks and chickens) or stroll down to the ponds in the valley teeming with
wildlife. A wonderful place to unwind and relax, it is nevertheless only
a short drive to the pretty and historic town of Padstow with its
delightful pubs, restaurants, galleries and shops and the unspoilt harbour
- still used by the local thriving fleet of inshore fishing vessels who
mainly fish for lobsters and crabs. Just a short walk is a riding stables
and the barn is also very close to a number of glorious sandy beaches –
one for every day of the week - and a number of them absolutely ideal for
surfing the rolling Atlantic breakers. There are championship golf links
at Trevose and St. Enodoc; a passenger ferry and water taxi runs across
the estuary to Rock. The route of the old railway track from Padstow to
Bodmin is now a popular traffic free trail for cyclists and walkers and
offers some wonderful scenery along the way.
