Newquay
Newquay's main draw is its 5 fantastic beaches all within walking distance of town - perfect for that bucket and spade holiday or the ultimate surfing break. Of course, Newquay has all the pubs, cafes and shops you'd expect but it also has a boating lake, a zoo, an aquarium, riding stables, a leisure centre and a recently opened cinema. The little land train provides transport around the town and is great fun for the kids. Sainsburys provides a shopping bus to lighten the load or you could just order in your groceries. Down the road is Watergate Bay with the Extreme Academy for the adrenaline junkies and Jamie Oliver's 15 Cornwall for the foodies. Wadebridge
Wadebridge is the ideal base for a walking or cycling holiday. The Camel Trail follows the route of the old railway line taking you to Bodmin in one direction and Padstow (where you can catch the ferry across to Rock) in the other. It passes right through the town where you can hire bikes and cycling equipment. Wadebridge has pubs, restaurants, shops, tennis courts, a leisure centre, a bowling green and a cinema. Also in the centre of town is the Betjeman Centre dedicated to the late poet laureate who had a lifelong love of Cornwall.

Polzeath
