Four hundred years old and retaining a wealth of original features Towan
Vean is nevertheless comfortable, homely, well-equipped and close to
beaches. The sea views may be enjoyed whilst enjoying your early morning
cup of tea in bed and also from the balcony whilst relaxing in the
hammock. Fishing boats and leisure craft sail in and out of the historic
harbour and local children often make sport leaping off the harbour walls
into the clear turquoise waters below. Just below the house is the coastal
path which leads to the harbour in one direction and to the headland in
the other; the facilities of the town are also within easy walking
distance (the Harbour Restaurant is just 100 yards). There are 11 beaches
in the Newquay area all offering golden sands and clear waters - no wonder
Newquay is such a popular family resort.
